Justin Herbert vs. Tua Tagovailoa in Week 10 matchup
The No. 5 picks meets the No. 6 in their first matchup as rookies. www.boltsfromtheblue.com/2020/10/20/21525165/chargers-news-nfl-justin-herbert-tua-tagovailoaNot looking past our next three opponents before this happens, but I am very glad this duel between rookie QBs will happen! (assuming no injuries or changes for either side)I have tickets to Miami this weekend and the original intent was to see the Chargers at Dolphins game. Pre-season, when we made these plans, we hoped each team would be starting their rookie QB by now and we would see their matchup live. Obviously thinking that was a longshot back then, with Tua recovering from his injury still and Herbert behind the veteran Taylor with a head coach who is more partial to seniority than talent. But Covid and a team doctor stepped in to alter fate- Herbert starts week two, and is looking legit; Covid messed up the schedules allowing Tua to head into their bye as the starter. The matchup between two of the top three QBs taken in the draft is on! I'll get to see it... just not live.

If I may sir.....................once upon a time the villagers tried to tell the Emperor that these rookies would sit a year or two to "learn the NFL". I told you guys that is not how its done nowadays. Here we are. Back on the kneeling pillows.

I think the Dolphins are making a mistake starting Tua... Fitzmagic was playing good football.

I think the Dolphins are making a mistake starting Tua... Fitzmagic was playing good football. I feel bad for the circumstances that caused Tyrod Taylor to lose his starting job, but the injury plus Herbert's play make it understandably the right decision. However, I feel worse for Fitz losing his starting job because like AFB stated, he's been playing well and surprisingly making the bad news Dolphins competitive.

It almost makes you wonder if Fitzpatrick is messing up the Dolphins draft plans for 2021, so he got the hook.

I dunno I doubt it, why would you put your future QB in a position to lose intentionally? That would totally ruin his development and confidence. I think the Dolphins are just trying to rally the fanbase and create optimism. Its just ill timed IMHO...

Or maybe I'm just right. Or maybe when you haven't had a franchise QB since Dan Freaking Marino, using the 5th pick of the draft is called your future. Or maybe you want to know NOW what you have on your hands so you can plan forward. Or maybe we are 1-4 and I'm really pissed about it.
