OK, so usually I don’t talk about anything to do with the NFL, but this will be a rare exception.
A friend told me today, that someone who I think is long overdue to get into the HOF (Wilber Marshall), is on the list of nominees that was released today.
That’s great, but I have zero faith in the selection process & committee, so am not getting my hopes up for Mr. Marshall.
Some of the names on the list of nominees are amongst the most outrageous I have ever seen. The entire list of quarterbacks is ridiculous, most notably Jake Delhomme and Jeff Hostetler. The other 5 aren’t much better (R.Cunningham, D.Krieg, J.Garcia, D.McNabb & B.Esiason).
If the person who nominated Delhomme has a vote, that’s a scary thought. I really wonder if there is more than 1 person on the planet that thinks just maybe he is a HOF’er.
The HOF is becoming more of a joke as time goes on, and the fact that they are going to have an expanded class this year, makes it all the more likely of some real doozy’s being part of the 2020 class...
