25 is nothing for a lineman. Almost seems like they will use him as backup to both G and T positions. If he can't crack the starting guard spot, then getting him tackle reps makes him a bit more useful. TC is still a ways off.

Lamp is so good he's going to start at both OG and OT next season. 2 positions held down by 1 superman.

Lamp would become very valuable if he could play either spot. Very valuable................ Lamp wants to play or be traded. Period. Chance to compete? LOL He has a few obstacles. Health. Lynn wants the same people out there. Tackle play. Everybody was excited about he playing Tackle in college. I said then: He's a guard in the NFL. He's lucky its Tevi on the right side, so he still has a shot over there............. If he could spell Scho and Tevi, man would that be of value.

Yes, and no. The straight across from your example would be stopping the puck, which I could do, but reading the play quick enough to put myself in the correct position to stop the puck was lacking. I was fine at the Jr. levels, but the NHL decision making was very fast, and we are talking over 30 years ago. The speed of decisions in today's game makes back then look like slow motion. Clubs recognized this deficiency in goalies, and soon you saw very few goalies that were under 6ft, and many that where 6' 4' or bigger. (consider a 6'7' goalie in the butterfly is only a couple inches shy of post to post) Add in they are much better athletes, with great coaching, and the NHL saw a scoring drop that they are still addressing in the game today. I loved my playing career, and have zero regrets.....it was a blast. Did you get to play at the NHL level? Nope......not a single second of regular season game time.

Did you get to play at the NHL level? Nope......not a single second of regular season game time. And Ladies and Gentlemen, in one sentence your Emperor has figured out the goalie's reasons for calling Lamp a bust.
Its a gift, really. Your Glorification may resume now.

So having Lamp play both OG and T would fit the rumors.

I have given my reason from early on.....bust pick due to injury. You and WoodMod need to go back to psychology 101.......

the Lynn rumor would support the fact he is not happy with his OL. 1st with his handling but 2nd with the fact he needs the depth to make it work. the 2nd part to me says, " I need a better OL"

He wants 5 guys that are true starters full time. After watching our old coaching shuffle the hell out of the line, it is a welcome and needed change for the team. Of course he wants the best talent he can get out there.

I actually like this idea...aside from center, where you need some continuity, I think Feeney, Scho and Tevi could use an occasional breather...Lamp's new designation: Utility O-Lineman...kind of like a utility infielder in baseball...can play just about any position...

Magic Lamp was a tackle in college, and has been practicing and has some limited play at guard...the Magic Lamp shall shine again! La Lampe doit briller à nouveau!
