How could any of you Americans possibly be able to answer that question??? You barely know anything about Canada as it is. Toronto? Fuggetaboutit. You never thought to ask the one regular member of this board who ACTUALLY LIVES IN TORONTO??? You Americans are hilarious..... u My guess would be that nobody reached out to you for an answer, because the whole conversation may have just been tounge in cheek. I also assumed that when hommes makes a statement, that he knows what he was talking about...probably a big mistake there though (which I can see in hindsight). Furthermore, I’m wondering if it’s possible for someone to be able to answer a general sports question, without being an expert about Canada. For example....let’s say I am a Raptors fan, never miss a game, watch every post game interview, been to live games at Scotiabank Arena...but I don’t know the name of the Prime Minister of Canada. Am I qualified to answer any questions about the Raptors, or should I send the questions your way ? Many thanks for finding someone on twitter who made the claim though, I’ve bookmarked that post for future reference. Any chance you can find a Charger fan on Twitter who is from OC and claims to have been to a live Chargers game ? I’d request the same for Ventura County, but that unquestionably would be setting you up for failure... As to whether the conversation may have been tongue in cheek, it didn't factor into my response, which totally was tongue in cheek, hence the smilies and the Freak-style grammar and verbiage. My mistake was assuming that people would get that I was being facetious. As for the Raptors, I'm actually not much of a basketball fan. I have followed them more this year but I'm certainly no expert on them. You probably know more about them than I do. Go ahead and answer away.

As someone who lives within swimming distance to Canada, and has crossed the border countless times, I feel partially qualified to weigh in on these comments: 1. True about Tim Horton’s, but the same is also true for Western New York, practically all the way to the PA border. I have 2 within walking distance from my office. Swiss Chalet deserves an honorable mention as well. 2. There is a big Hershey Store as soon as you cross the border. 3. I’ve seen both polar bears and moose in Canada....in the Toronto Zoo 4. Don’t talk temperature with Canadians, the conversation will be misleading. They use the centigrade system (Celsius) while we are talking in Fahrenheit. 5. What is hockey ? Is it that cute little game where the kids use the brooms next to that big round thing moving along the ice ? 6. For performance arts, Canadian Balet > American Balet, and it’s not even close. 7. Last and most important of all, CROWN ROYAL FTW !!! 8...... Molson Beer..... 9.....Curling...... 10......Poutine....... 11.......Shinny..... Kokanee Beer is pretty good as well. I don't know if it is available in Quebec, though. Poutine rocks.

I’m sorry to throw all these things at you at once, but I do have one more request.... Seeing how we are a full week in to being live on this forum now, I was wondering if you could just let me know what distinguishes someone as a “regular member”. Sincerely, A silly American desperately in need of answers and direction I thought you know? You are an administrator. How would I know?

You never thought to ask the one regular member of this board who ACTUALLY LIVES IN TORONTO??? You Americans are hilarious..... I know everything there is to know about Canada. Let me sum it up for you. 1. Tim Horton's. There are at least two at every intersection. 2. Wunderbars. Because importing Reese's is hard. 3. There are polar bears there. A lot of them. 4. Summer temps can reach above zero. 5. Justin Trudeau is Freak's doppelganger. 6. April Wine likes to rock. 7. There are trees that bleed pancake syrup. 8. They play a game called hockey, where men hit each other with sticks. 9. No one outside Canada knows what a hockey is. 10. No one there speaks, reads or writes English. I'm seconding Freak's nomination.

It’s all good, my man I personally haven’t had a lot of interaction with you, so your post didn’t exactly come across tounge in cheek. Glad to learn it was. Just realize you have something a little closer to home in common with a few members of this board. Gotta go, Raps game about to tip off...

As a long time CR drinker i have moved exclusively to Crown Royal Black. It is stronger and sweeter (kind of like bourbon) and in my opinion is much better than the original. May not be for everyone but if you haven't tried it, give it a try. Oh, I’ve tried it....a lot. I agree with what you say, and that extra 5% of alcohol has a much bigger effect than I would have imagined too. I probably drink the original 3x’s more than anything else, due to that great 3 liters for $59 Canadian deal they have at the Duty Free shop, but Black is definitely a superior line. I currently have 10 different varieties of Crown Royal in my home bar, and LOTS of velvet bags (not just purple but all different colors). Might give it a try.....

Personally, I’m glad he didn’t...I think it’s much more entertaining when Moe kicks things off going 0 for 2, by crediting the wrong person as being the founder, as well the crediting the wrong person for writing that mission statement he cherishes so much.
