Anyone else excited about the Colts this year?
I have been a fan since Fouts and was depressed when he left not so much when Brees left but with Rivers gone I am on the Colts bandwagon, it's just how I feel, it is what it is, have fought it long enough.
All in on the Colts this year.
Chargers with no QB or Derwin doesn't excite me whatsoever.
That line and running backs Rivers has is going to be exciting. MIP? MVP?

I wouldn't say I'm excited for them no... But I wish PR well.

I will be pulling for the Colts in all games except for a postseason matchup against the Bolts.

I am doing the same thing as Joe. I remain a Rivers fan, so as long as his success doesn't hamper the Chargers I will always root for him to do well.
There are precious few players (not on the Chargers) that I actually root for like this because I am a team-first guy, but with Phil's history with the Bolts he moves to the top of my list.

I've got the Colts game on Sunday Ticket, so we'll see how they look against the Jags. PR has come full circle after starting his playing career with a very strong run game around him.

Colts mix the run & pass, and march right down the Jags' throat on the opening drive. 7-0 Colts.

Second drive, the Colts march it right down the Jags' throat again, but get stuffed on 4th & 1 at the Jags 3 yard line.
It's only temporary IMO. The Colts offense looks potent.

Third drive, shades of 2019:
After three consecutive passes (21 yard gain, incomplete & 1 yard loss), PR forces it on 3rd and 11 and gets picked. Time for Indy to get back to what was working well: mix the pass and run.

On 3rd & 7, PR gets hit on a jailbreak pass rush - and somehow gets the pass off and hits Campbell over the shoulder at the sidelines perfectly for a 1st down.
Last two drives show the bad and great of PR's game. Maddening at times, but never boring.

Fourth drive: 75 yard drive ending with a TD screen pass on 3rd & goal from the 7.
14-7 Colts.

Halftime Colts 17 - Jags 14
The only blips for the Colts offense were getting stopped on the 4th & 1 at the goalline and PR's forced INT. PR is 20-24 for 227 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.

Colts are leaving a lot of points off the board. After converting a 4th and 1 in their own territory, their rookie kicker Blankenship doinks a 30 yard attempt off the left upright. The Colts D isn't looking very good, so the six points (minimum) that they didn't take advantage of may cost them.

Fournette who? Undrafted free agent James Robinson from Illinois State started at RB, and he is tearing it up!!

Fournette who? Undrafted free agent James Robinson from Illinois State started at RB, and he is tearing it up!! After a couple of very costly penalties on the Colts offense (a very suspect "crackback" penalty at the Jags 10 yard line that stalled what looked to be a TD drive) and defense (horse-collar call tackling the RB five yards deep in the backfield), Minshew-mania is rebrewing. Colts D is very suspect. Colts are really missing RB Mack for the tough running yards when left the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury. Jags 24 - Colts 20 with 5:45 left in the game.
