If by #2 QB you are referring to Herbert, I would disagree with the assertion Herbert is not ready, as he clearly is. I am, and he clearly is not. Stupid turnovers, missing reads, not seeing open receivers, missing throws, poor decisions. As expected of a rookie forced into a starting role he hasn't been prepared for. I'm not saying he's not good, but if you're not seeing that he's not ready, you're not watching the games (hmm...) The eye test says he's not ready. The coaching staff says he's got a lot to learn. The playbook is very obviously not wide open. The upside is clear. The heart, leadership, and effort is clear. The talent is clear. I'm excited about him. But he's not ready. The playbook wasn’t any better with Rivers. We have no identity as a team. Not ready? There’s no magic moment or formula that says a guy is “ready”. Is he playing like a seasoned vet? Of course not. Does he make rookie mistakes? Of course he does. These are the growing pains when relying on rookies, which we are doing all over the field. He’ll, arguably one of our most important defensive players is a rookie. Should we sit Murray because he makes mistakes? Should we sit Bosa because he jumps off sides and extends drives? I don’t buy the platitudes. He’s our best option. Ready or not here we come

Well, what was the point of the rant? That I didn't agree with the Canadian's opinion, particularly his assertion that his opinion was "clearly" correct.

Watching Herbert's press conference yesterday gives me the idea he is reading his own press... The kid looks stressed out to me, the massive breakout on his face is a sign.
