Right......no repeat now this. Slide. Great points...not repeating as Champs and then having 3 losses at a time when 24 of the 30 teams have at least 2 losses, should certainly not be overlooked or taken lightly. I would also make a very big deal of the 6 teams that only have 1 loss at this time, as one of them surely is the next NBA Champion (suggestion - put your money on a Magic/Suns Finals matchup now !) What should be overlooked: * The improvement in the Raptors record, the season after Kawhi left * The same number of Raptor All-Star & All-NBA selections, the season after Kawhi left * Nick Nurse winning the Coach of the Year, the season after Kawhi left (Ty Lue made it a whole 6 games in Cleveland, before getting fired, the season after LeBron left) * The fact that in the season where the Raptors quest to repeat as Champs was happening, there was a 4 month break before the playoffs started, and the entire playoffs were played in a neutral environment for the first time ever. I’m sure that without these unprecedented factors, that the entire playoffs would have played out the exact same way, so it’s not something even worth mentioning. * The fact that the Raptors are the only team in the NBA this season, that won’t be playing a home game. Because if they still had Kawhi, they wouldn’t actually need any home games. Currently, they are in 13th place in the conference.

^ This ! Harden & Durant have played together before, but back in the days when Harden was a 6th man. His ego has changed quite a bit since then. 3 critical things the Nets lack: Leadership, Defense and (now) Depth. They’ve also got 3 guys out there that always want the ball in their hands. Who the hell even knows what’s going on with Kyrie either...

Such a weird dynamic in BKLN. Kylie doesn’t seem to want to play. Durant looking good. Now they add Harden. He and Durant played together in OKC so may be fine but Harden holds the ball and plays one on one. It will be interesting

Well it’s obviously been a frustrating season for me so far, but I’m still watching every Raptors game, and they’ve been close in every game. They desperately need a good Center, letting Ibaka walk has hit them hard, and Aron Baynes ain’t cutting it. In the meantime they’re playing 2020 Houston Rockets small ball, and launching up way too many 3’s. I’d like to see them trade Lowry to a contender, for something decent in return and build off that going forward, and be in the draft lottery for the first time in forever. Barring anything catastrophic, I like Boston’s chances of representing the East this year. I’m not a believer in Brooklyn at all...
