Ek reminds me of a more versatile Ronnie Harmon. Handy as heck but not an RB1. Yep Ek is a good RB if not a little overrated because of the rest of the scrubs on the team...

Ek isn’t overrated. 1,550 yards from scrimmage and 11 TD’s in 2019 says he isn’t. He plays a big part in making this offense work. |

Looks like Super Mel is likely being shut down for the season. I hope we haven’t seen the last of him in a Chargers uniform.

He plays a big part in making this offense work. I love the guy. Certainly he’s a starter. I was only suggesting that his role is less traditional bell cow and more of a versatile passing game and checkdown guy. |

I was only suggesting that his role is less traditional bell cow and more of a versatile passing game and checkdown guy. Definitely not the traditional bell cow back, but you don’t need one to win a ring in today’s NFL. He needs a counterpart who can deliver the hard yards when defenses are prepared to stop a 3rd & 3 type of down. Hopefully Ballage isn’t too dinged up because he has the size & speed, and has shown some shiftiness over the past couple of weeks. I’m sure that the organization wants more of a look before the off-season comes around. |

Super Mel gained too much weight and now his knees are shot... Bound to happen. I hope he makes it back but can understand if he doesn't, 10 years is a good run.
As far as Ek goes, don't get me wrong he is instrumental to our run game and we are lucky to have him, but lets hope he can stay on the field and his "counterpart" can contribute better than JJ did.
