I didn’t have a strategy per se. I’m not a draftnik. I criticized when you were talking about WR in rounds 1 and 2 because I felt there were much bigger needs to be filled at the top of the draft due to the fact that the WR position wasn’t in as bad shape as either OT and CB. As such, WR additions could be filled via free agency and after the two bigger needs were addressed. We desperately need a second rounder to pay off. It just really really bothers me that it hasn't. Just lately Adderley, Lamp, and we traded our second for Murray. You can even go back further. I would dare to say 6 or more years if you wanted to. Murray is well worth the 2nd it cost TT.....so in a way, that 2nd is paying off.

I agree, I think/hope Murray flourishes under Staley. Murray showed signs that he could be THAT guy, just not consistently enough. He seems to have all the attributes and if Staley can create a plan for him that takes advantage of what he does best he may be a more consistent difference maker. |

Ryan Leaf put on a QB jersey as a "sign" of he could be THAT guy. Signs are for protests. We need ballers. Well, I need ballers.
