Can TT trade MW for a draft pick and get out from under that $15.6 mil contract?
If so, that the way I'd go. Jets' 3rd rounder...? 1st: Slater/AVT 2nd: BPA @ PON 3rd: BPA @ remaining PON 3rd: BPA " " " 3rd: BPA " " " 4th: OG FA center, FA guard. Dear heavens. There is no way I would pay that.

To me Kelley looked overwhelmed with the speed of the game... He looked like a fish out of water, which is surprising considering Lynn is the "running back" coach. Lynn was overextended in 2020 as he was hands on in a variety of different areas of the game (including special teams the second half of the season), and it made his game management decisions even worse than they had been during his first few seasons. I am heartened that Staley is going to leave the group coaching and on-hands teaching to his staff. We'll see how a new RB coach and a new offensive approach will do for Kelley because he had his moments. And for the record: RB is one position where you can get great production from mid-round picks (and undrafted free agents). I'm not writing Kelley off yet. Kelley is fine. You know why ? He's cheap and he's on a horrendous RB committee. That's why he's fine. 354 yards on the year with a 3.2 yard average.

I love adding the best talent each pick, but this year TT really needs to accept pick 13 has to be the best LOT on the board. Or........ TT can take the best talent on the board at 13th, then commit to the BPA at a PON the rest of the way, with a heavy tilt towards OL. I think that’s right, but I’m waiting for FA to make that strategy more concrete. I doubt there’s a big surprise, but you never know. FA will impact other moves, but I agree not to expect any big signings. I think TT uses FA to sign players that will improve the talent in general, basically improve depth. TT might get that starting OG from FA......

Not too sure any club wants to pay that amount, so TT getting honest return diminishes greatly. If TT can find that club with cap space, need, and belief in MW, then maybe.....just maybe. I would not be surprised if MW is on opening night roster for the Bolts.

Funny how the "horrendous RB committee" gets noticed, but the only group more horrendous had a direct impact on the RB group, with little mention. Yea, Bolts need a new OL group more than a new RB group.

Its amazing how good Herbert was yet how bad the RB's were... Considering a good pass game opens up the running game right? I can't wait for this new season, mainly because I want to see how the Chargers improve.

My point was the "horrendous RB committee" was horrendous because the OL group was the worst in the entire league. You seem to prefer believing Bolts need new RB's, while I prefer to fix the OL group, then see just how the RB group might or might not be. * I do not allow, or disallow anything on here.

Unfortunately the OL group has become so bad, they need all the attention. Ponder this: If TT found five new starters for the OL, and they played essentially the entire season, with a final ranking top third in the league.....just how impacting would that be? Versus what is more likely: TT finds one or two new OL starters, who play most of the season, yet the OL final rankings are bottom third in the league. Yes, TT adds a few players to other parts of the roster, but the club still loses because of poor offence. TT will spread the effort around just as you prefer, while not solving the biggest issue holding this club back. In a few short years, the diminished skills of KA, Bosa and others start showing up. Then the statements about wasting Herbert's elc will start.....followed by comparisons of how Rivers' career was wasted.......bla bla bla

But that was the whole point, at this point. Its just so deliciously mindless easy for me.
