Those are impossible questions right now...........Bulaga is not going anywhere. His contract prevents that $$$ What about Guard Lamp ? He is an UFA. That can be an easy bye-bye. But wait. He played all 16 games last year with 1174 snaps !!!!!!! They have their work cut out figuring out that OL. No doubt about it. Agreed. Lamp played! That's good, not well, not so good. Hurt a lot. Made limited progress at OG for obvious reasons. Feeney appeared lost as a blocker too often. I pass on both.

That devil MW really creates a problem. As I have already explained, he's not a WR2, sorry he's just not. But if he leaves it creates ANOTHER hole towards the top of our WR Corp. My initial thought was go get a really good WR and force MW to play up into the WR3, because there is real crap playing behind him. The trouble is he is now due his "big" contract. I am going to give you insight right now that no one else on here will. Not Joe McRugmoderator, not Goalies, no one. Keep this under your cap: For you MW negotiations followers----don't be surprised if TT really tries to make something happen. TT and Company spent an early first round pick on MW. That is really hard for them to walk away from. Its a failure that they don't want to admit to. If they can keep him at reasonable money, they will. It would not shock me if they let him test the open market and then bring him back home. Me ? I would let him go. FA Schuster or Corey Davis. Then spent a second round on a WR. OT-1st WR-2nd CB-3rd RB-our other 3rd round pick Center-4th Agree with this 100%I'd be curious if a quality 1st round grade CB falls in the 2nd and grab him there, then take Wr/Rb with those 3rds. But either way, I think it would be a good move. This is also saying Joe Reed and Joshua Kelley were bad picks, which I think they were.... But of course give them more time. SOMEBODY knows how to move up in my Empire. The others have SO much to learn.....................

That is a crap load of snaps !!! He only allowed 2 sacks and had only one penalty too.....................much to consider there. If you were the GM and the new staff told you "We can make him even better." you would have your work cut out.

My original take: "Do you know what you have when you take a guy in the fourth round ? A guy from the fourth round." REACT AS I RAIN GENIUS DOWN UPON YOU IN MY OWN GLORIOUS WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He looked like a fish out of water, which is surprising considering Lynn is the "running back" coach.

He looked like a fish out of water, which is surprising considering Lynn is the "running back" coach. Lynn was overextended in 2020 as he was hands on in a variety of different areas of the game (including special teams the second half of the season), and it made his game management decisions even worse than they had been during his first few seasons. I am heartened that Staley is going to leave the group coaching and on-hands teaching to his staff. We'll see how a new RB coach and a new offensive approach will do for Kelley because he had his moments. And for the record: RB is one position where you can get great production from mid-round picks (and undrafted free agents). I'm not writing Kelley off yet.

Pre-FA, here’s where I think the picks should land:
1: BPA of OL, CB, WR, Edge 2: BPA of OL, CB, WR, Edge (or trade back into Rd1 if + value) 3: BPA of DL, LB, S, TE 3: BPA of RB, TE, WR, CB, OL, DL 4: BPA of WR, RB, TE, S 5: BPA of OL, DL, S, K 6: BPA of OL, DL, LB, WR, K 6: BPA 7: BPA

If we want a quality LT, it's #13 or a mega buck FA. This is as high as we'll draft in the coming decade so pull the trigger on LOT or start saving to buy a higher pick or top FA next year. I'll be interested to see what Staley & Co can do with late rd, UDFAs. Some of the staff with strong college connections may pull in some unexpected talent. Maybe.

Your comment about 'hold over OL' has me wondering what the mindset is with the Bolt leadership. We clearly have very little information to form much of an opinion on where Staley and staff stand on any of the OL players on roster. We can look at contracts, and cost of walking away, and get an idea about possible moves in that sense. TT has certainly made comments about OL focus, and those comments imply changes coming. My question to all of you is two fold: Which currently rostered OL players make the Opening night roster? How many new OL players (FA and Draft) make the opening night roster?Good question! Take out the FAs, RFA, ERFA and reserve we have Quis, Turner, Bulaga, Norton, Pipkins and Tevi under contract. I'd cut Turner. That leaves 1 starter, RT Bulaga and 4 potential backups. My current thought is #13 at LT, FA Corey Linsley at C, RT Bulaga. I expect strong competition for OG to include FA, draft, UDFA. 4 new starters. Bulaga is back. We keep at least 1 of Tevi, Pipkins, Norton as swing OT depth. Maybe give Tevi a look at OG.
I would suggest Quis, Pipkins, Bulaga are retained. FA's are anybody's guess at this point as far as who exactly, but I think TT gets an OG and an OC. Then the draft produces a LOT candidate, and another OG/OC late in the draft. UDFA's should be plentiful in camp, maybe they find a depth player there.

Or........ TT can take the best talent on the board at 13th, then commit to the BPA at a PON the rest of the way, with a heavy tilt towards OL.

Truth is the Bolts have zero high level OL players......ZERO. If TT can manage to find two, FA and Draft, it will be quite the accomplishment. Staley and staff will still need to have players with talent deserving of being in the NFL, because the opposing clubs will eat guys that do not belong at this level. Bolts found that out last few years......eh?

Can TT trade MW for a draft pick and get out from under that $15.6 mil contract?
If so, that the way I'd go. Jets' 3rd rounder...?
1st: Slater/AVT 2nd: BPA @ PON 3rd: BPA @ remaining PON 3rd: BPA " " " 3rd: BPA " " " 4th: OG
FA center, FA guard.
