Carolina is not scared, and would be wise to take a QB. First round Tackles are getting some up movement early in draft boards. I see a couple of places have us taking the USC tackle. But others are on the move as well. Virginia Tech and Northwestern are getting some tackle love now as well. Early draft boards are just that, early. Top five picks will most likely stay the same guys right up to draft day.....then a trade might change things a bit. GM's trading to move up to get 'their' guy happens every year, and Bolts' drafting at 13th is a good spot for a trade down. Get that OT at 18, 19, 20, or even 21st.....while adding a 3rd for this year. No trade offered, then just take the OT at 13th and solve a really big need.

Somebody best be doing better than a third round pick to go from 13 to 21st !!!!!!!!!!!! But I get your point. Right now I am loosey goosey. Tackle ? Great WR ? fine. CB good. What ever helps us !

Same... At this point there is nothing to be excited over with our draft position. I just hope we can get someone on the oline that can be a legit career starter... If not, then I hope whatever position it is will be worth their draft position.

Bolts have plenty of needs, so the intersection of BPA and PON should be an easy one to find. That said, OT is such a huge need, really difficult to ignore it this year. It still would not surprise me to see J Spanos take an OT in the 4th and in the 7th, with neither talented enough to beat out Pipkins..... Sorry, I meant TT....ha ha ha

I bit bored today, not too much to do until tonight, so looked at doing a 2021 mock draft.
Here are the results:
RD 1 Darrisaw OT
RD 2 Humphrey OC
RD 3 Carman OG/OT
RD 4 Ogundeji DT
RD 5 Philyor WR
RD 6 Hall CB
RD 6 Moore OT/OG
RD 7 Bates TE
Far too much commitment to OL for this to be very realistic. I also believe TT uses FA money to improve talent in the depth, as opposed to big dollar big risk signings.

Interesting that he's considered a better run blocker than pass protector. If they are helping Herbert, I would look elsewhere.

Alabama’s Patrick Surtain II. Is peaking my interest at CB. He's a goody.

Interesting you refrained from actually calling Darrisaw bad in pass protection, and wise of you, as he is quite good. Rhetorically speaking, is having a solid run game helping Herbert? You will look where you are told to look, but you know that, eh?

I don't think its the biggest need. It's the old problem. Let's say CB Surtain is a better player than Darrisaw. But Darrisaw would be solid at OT. What do you do ?

I just said he is rated better in the run game. Because he is. When you have a young star QB, you want his protection. Nobody gives a crap that Ballage is trying to get 2 yards on the left side. Protect the franchise QB.

I thought the same. ballage is inconsistent, jackson more so, Ekler is starting to look like a constant casualty. He needs someone to take the bigger pounding so he will last the whole year. Get a player like that that forces D's to play the run, Herbie has more opportunity top break their backs
