I'm not a college football or draft expert but occasionally my news feed hits on someone that I get super intrigued with. The latest example of this (Pitts was the first this year) is Teven Jenkins, Offensive Tackle from Oklahoma State.
Has anyone else seen this guy? Thoughts?
Looks like he started out out as a late 2nd rounder but has now climbed into the first round of mock drafts.

Sadly, as you have noted, he is getting plenty of attention and could end up going 1st round. They cannot all go in round one, so fingers crossed on him still.

This mock brings up a good point and one that I have been thinking about... Likely none of the top OT candidates will be left on the board @ 13. Too many teams ahead of us have let go of oline talent, besides we have likely addressed the oline for the season. So it does leave the window open for a great player at other positions we still need filled... www.nfl.com/news/lance-zierlein-2021-nfl-mock-draft-2-0-how-does-the-first-wave-of-free-agency-imI'll take our pick of edge or secondary help. I'd honestly be annoyed with a WR in the first and just don't see it.

I've seen mocks where his teammate Waddle should land right around 13.............. REACT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
We could be staring at both of those names on the board at #13 !!!

If Sewell and Slater are gone, I would hope TT doesn't reach in picking Darrisaw, passing on what I view as much better talent. Take that CB, or Edge, or ILB, or.......

FWIW, in all the mock drafts I've seen this week- yes, all three of them!- Teven Jenkins was in the mid to late first round! I never heard of him a few days ago and now he's risen into unreachable territory for us. And Pitts is long gone before the mock drafts hit double digits, so he's highly unlikely to fall to us. Last and least likely, a lot of mocks have us trading back to around 20. I don't see TT trading back. I'm not against it, but it's not his style.

There will be risers, and fallers, but in the end only 32 will be picked in round one. I have hope that Jenkins is a middle round 2 type. Pitts will never reach double digits, he has just too much talent. I would love a trade down......pick up an extra 3rd and draft Darrisaw as the new LOT. I agree it is not TT's norm though.

The Bama WR's are starting to populate for the Chargers.......... Devonta Smith is an absolute beast that I do not think will be there at #13. But Waddle is really good too. REACT

It must've been in another thread, but someone asked about our first round cluster of players for pick 13. Here's what I'm thinking: 1) Ruling out ALL quarterbacks no matter how highly ranked they are pre-draft because duh. 2) Ruling out ALL running backs because just not worth a high first round pick (specific to us/compared to greater PON) I guess most other positions are in play so based on rankings or first-round grades these are the players I personally like (and there's some players ranked high but NOT on my list because I don't like them)- - Penei Sewell- If we had the #1 pick this year, I would take Sewell.
- Kyle Pitts- The best receiving threat in the draft and a generational talent. Instant mis-match, and could pair with Herbert for a decade of abusing defenses.
- Rashawn Slater- Didn't Jeremiah rate Slater as better prospect than Sewell? I may not agree, but that says a lot about Slater. And not as a Guard but as the Left Tackle, obvs.
- Ja'Marr Chase- He looks to me like the next Julio Jones. I'm not necessarily a fan of drafting a WR too high (thanks Mike Williams) but Chase is best in class.
- Patrick Surtain-
- Jaycee Horn- I'm not sure which of these three DBs is better, but opting out of the season AND having surgery a few days ago puts Farley third in my book. Being the son of Joe Horn is a huge plus to me, but Surtain seems like the legit #1.
- Caleb Farley-
- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah- Yes, I have him above Micah Parsons, the consensus best LB in this draft. Why? Because you can't teach SPEED!
- Christian Darrisaw- Because Left Tackle is (currently) our biggest PON.
- Micah Parsons- Very highly rated LB... a position we can't seem to have enough of during a season.
- Teven Jenkins- He has the temperament of my mother-in-law so I know he'll bring a coveted nastiness to the O-line.
- Gregory Rousseau- Freakish size and athleticism, but not much experience makes this a real risk-reward pick.
- Azeez Ojulari- If Woodeye has this guy at the top of his list, that's good enough for me!
I made a cluster (list) of 13 players in the order I'd take them. 13 because that's where we pick and at least one of them has to be there.
I know several at the top of my list are super unlikely to be there at 13 so don't waste a reply to say something like "Sewell won't fall to 13"... I know. But he's still at the top of my list. And maybe, just maybe, we trade up for once??

Hello everyone.
To clarify, hot magenta was to have another look at whether my ideas from early January held up. This was before FA and before gaining better understanding of Staley's concepts.
We now have Fackrell w/Nwosu & Bosa. Ojulari will be a great pick for someone in the 20s. He has bend, surprising strength, explosion...great traits.
Oline developments shock me (I must adjust and be pleasantly surprised) but that area has been stabilized. Now we can help OLT with TE/RB chipping.
I do not expect OL early in this draft ! I expect LAC to go DB early and often !
Mid rounds, new, young OL MUST be introduced. Along with Pipkins, Norton, St. Louis, and Quessenberry, there should be two draftees. Here's the new crew for us to be eternally patient with as they slowly develop.
Have a great day all !
