The Ravens have now released safety Eric Weddle. His first two seasons were solid, with 13/4 on passes defensed and picks in 2016, then 8/6 his second year, getting him Pro Bowl nods. Last year he still was voted to the Pro Bowl despite his production falling way off to only 3 pd's and ZERO picks. He reportedly still wants to play, but at 34, gotta wonder if he has much gas left in the tank. Not that I want him back--his Bolt bashing that ugly last year was a big much.

Do you ever actually watch a player play or 100% base your opinion on them by stats? Defensive backs are the biggest example where stats can be misleading.
Just saying.

Wonder if he'll trash them, like he did the Bolts? Absolutely loved him when he was here, mostly because I watched him play for the Utes. He never should have listened to his agent, and went scorched earth on the front office. If he had been a little patient, he could have retired as a Charger.

"never should have listened to his agent" ........I have muttered that more than a few times.

Why confront TT in Indy at the Combine ? Eric is very self absorbed. Even to the point of blabbing about ice cream flavors.

During Weddle contract negotiations, and after TT said the Chargers would talk to him later, Weddle and his agent chose to push the issue at the Combine.
