I started to make a post about what should we do with Tyrod Taylor, and then figured I'd expand it to all our free agents. So here's the list of Charger free agents, their position and age. Which ones are "Must Keep-Pay the Man!", which are "Keep ONLY at a value salary and no sweat if they leave", which are "Don't let the door hit you", or any other comments you have on some of these guys-
Melvin Ingram OLB (32) UFA Hunter Henry TE (26) UFA Mike Pouncey C (32) UFA Denzel Perryman ILB (28) UFA Tyrod Taylor QB (32) UFA Michael Davis CB (26) UFA Virgil Green TE (33) UFA Nick Vigil OLB (28) UFA Damion Square DE (32) UFA Forrest Lamp G (27) UFA Jahleel Addae SS (31) UFA Dan Feeney G (27) UFA Ryan Groy G (30) UFA Jaylen Watkins DB (29) UFA Kalen Ballage RB (25) UFA Rayshawn Jenkins S (27) UFA Sam Tevi T (26) UFA Isaac Rochell DT (26) RFA Stephen Anderson TE (28) RFA Malik Jefferson OLB (24) RFA Cole Turner G (27) RFA Brandon Facyson CB (26) RFA Michael Badgley K (26) RFA Matt Sokol TE (25) ERFA Tyree St. Louis T (24) ERFA Tevaughn Campbell CB (28) ERFA Cole Christiansen LB (24) ERFA Joe Gaziano DE (24) ERFA Ty Long P (28) ERFA

i'd keep Addae. I think they have him the right spot and he has been very good in ST. HH walk.

[so you basically want to start from scratch on the OL They’ll have to keep some of them for depth, but otherwise yeah, they need a lot of new players if they want a better line.

Just find me a big league Center. My Kingdom for a Center !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (well, not the kingdom. But we can sacrifice some villagers hovel huts. It saves me from having to burn them down.)

I simply do not want to pay starter type money for reserve type play. If need be, build it from scratch......

All the responses so far have the opinion of letting Tyrod Taylor go elsewhere (he's not under contract anymore). And I agree, meaning I think he'll move on himself with no interest in being Herbert's backup.
(Side note, the Jags or another team getting a rookie QB should ABSOLUTELY sign Tyrod Taylor- he's recently become a magic lamp for turning rookie QBs into stars! Look at what he did for Baker Mayfield and Justin Herbert during his time with the Browns and Chargers respectively!)
So we'll need a backup QB- unless you want Easton Stick to be the #2. Who are your preferred veteran QBs who could be willing to be a backup?
I'm thinking we'd want someone who could, of course, come in and play well if needed. But perhaps more importantly, who has veteran experience and is capable and willing to share it and further educate our young star?
My number one target would be FitzMagic. I think he may go down as the best backup QB of all time!
Who do you think would be an ideal backup to Herbert?

Not sure if he would be a locker room best fit, but he would love Los Angeles.

If Stick isn’t a backup by now then they really screwed the pooch, and should resign Taylor.

Keep stick, and never see him on the field. Problem solved.
We have way too many holes to concern ourselves with upgrading QB2.
And stop carrying 3 friggen QBs on the roster. Sheesh.
