The chiefs released both of their offensive tackle, the way things are shaping up the chargers will have a very good opportunity to improve the OL in FA Cap space will be paramount to being able to take advantage of this opportunity, MW needs to restructure or be released. * From the player's perspective, restructure might be preferred to being thrown into the cauldron of FA that has serious talent in it. Leverage to the club I suspect. Glad to see you have changed your mind to my side. Very wise.

With the flood of talent being released, TT has a rare opportunity to correct a bunch of inadequacies in his roster, but cap space is like gold. Still, until it is done......we are talking the Chargers, so.

Is this a post from a year ago? $14 million this year. Pretty low salary for a starting QB, eh? Certainly too much to walk from, and not likely they want to be paying that to a QB playing second fiddle, so expectation must be starter.

I suspect that this is going to be the norm in 2021. My guess is that a significant number of free agents will view trying to find a landing spot where they can shine & hit free agency again in 2022 being as valuable as the actual $$$ in the contract.

Cap is low. Players still want to play. suck it up for a year and get paid the next few after.

The teams in the next Superbowl will likely be the ones that played free agency the best. Hopefully its us... But TT is a boy among men when it comes to free agency.

Is this a post from a year ago? $14 million this year. The contract is 1 year for 3.75 million, the rest of the money (10.25m) is all tied to incentives so none of it is guaranteed. If he hits every incentive he could potentially make 14m which would already be low money for a starter. Taylor was making 5m with the chargers without incentives but still 1.25m more than what newton signed on for.

Bellichik loves HH so much he turned around and gave jonnu smith 50m over 4 years with 32m guaranteed, LOL
this tells me the patriots valued smith more or that HH is asking for Kittle type money
