Great Marty Schottenheimer story: In 2001, Deion Sanders retired rather than play for Marty in Washington. In 2002, Marty coached the Chargers. Washington released Deion's rights so he could join the Raiders for Super Bowl run. Marty claimed Deion on waivers, blocking the move.

Washington Post is a POS. newspaper headlined his obituary, "Marty Schottenheimer, NFL coach whose teams wilted in the postseason, dies at 77." They changed that headline post-haste after rightfully catching a whole raft of shit for that disrespectful bile. Somebody deserves a pink slip or reassignment after that. 😠 |

Everywhere Marty went the team got better. For us, a lot better. The man had a positive impact on teams and the guys that played for him. RIP Marty
