Doesn’t mention the Chargers If they played you in a meaningless garbage last game of the year, got your arm broke, had doctors tell you it ended your career, and then fired you from the team, would you mention them ? Just offering a counter-perspective, the Goalie made me ask the question. Technically he wasn’t fired. That Chargers were one of two teams out of 32 who tendered the unrestricted free agent an offer of employment, and he chose the Saints’ (who didn’t have PR on their roster) much better offer. Regardless, Brees was royally pissed off at the world and it redoubled his resolve to prove everybody wrong and was probably a big factor in his going on to post a first ballot HOF career. Kudos to Drew for proving the rest of the NFL wrong! 🍺 |

I THOUGHT Miami was the other team. How did Miami piss him off ? THEY should be pissed. Nothing after Dan Marino, at least we had Rivers.
