Many good college players will have a ~five minute YouTube video of their highlights and top plays.
Our third round selections combined would have a five minute video, but not of just their highlights- it would be ALL their plays from college.
I'm optimistic Palmer and McKitty are way better than pre-draft rankings and casual fans opinions indicate.

Palmer reportedly lit it up at Senior Bowl week facing superior competition.

The Chargers see some things in Josh Palmer. You have to take his whole college career into consideration: They had absolutely suck garbage at QB in Tennessee. The Senior Bowl let him shine.

McKitty has great hands, and can get downfield. Is Parnham being pushed ?.

I think McKitty is a project and won't see the field much. Cook and Parnham are the guys for now.

Safe to say at least one gets cut at least? Cook likely a 1 year roster spot?
Who we got next year?
Parnham and McKitty, just guessing Anderson is gone...

Is it normal to carry three TE's ?

Is it normal to carry three TE's ? Three has been the norm for the Chargers and most of the NFL.

Is it normal to carry three TE's ? Yes. Cook, Parnham, and McKitty can split out if we are injured on WR's. I fear Anderson's days are short.

Friday night I was a bit disappointed in the Chargers Round Three picks of Palmer and McKitty.
Being "just a guy who's a big NFL/Chargers fan" and not anywhere near an expert on draft prospects, I read and research a little bit from those so-called experts- the writers and analysts for college and pro football. So their rankings and opinions heavily influence mine. And NONE of them had Palmer as a third-rounder! None of them had Palmer in the top WR rankings, and there were other WRs available who were popular names and 'higher-ranked' when we selected Palmer. There were also lots of players at other positions of need who were ranked and popular still available!
So I took this a big reach from Telesco.
But once I looked into Palmer a bit more, from the videos AFB posted, and some things written about him BEFORE the draft, and even his own intro video from the Chargers I'll admit to reconsidering my initial disappointment. He seems like a good character and player, and perhaps he really is an "overlooked" diamond in the rough.
Which is the characteristic I think both our third rounders have in common- neither was maximized in their college careers and have plenty of untapped potential that may (may!) see them become better pros than they were college players.
Especially Palmer. The TE class was rather boring after Pitts so I was neither giddy or upset with the McKitty pick at 97 (but still felt there could've been better players at other PON).
In summary, like everyone else. I loved the first two picks. I was a little disappointed in round three but I'm coming around on them. I actually like Rump in round four, which is a good spot to take a risk/reward player like him. From round five on, possible bench warmers and ST players but nothing to get excited about.
My LEAST favorite pick was the RB in round six. Seems like he won't eclipse the fourth RB currently on the roster, who was an UDFA last year.

This handicapped Palmer. Herbert will have Palmer SHINE.
