Son of a bitch ! I liked youngsters Webb and Hall this summer. That’s a good football player they just waived. I’m starting to think the emperor has very little influence on the team WRONGO !!!! Los Angeles Chargers Re-Sign Kemon Hall

Interesting, I wonder if these four are the ones they’ll protect every week or if they’ll protect different ones depending on the team they face and which two players they plan to activate for the week. It won’t surprise me if both JJ and kelly go inactive on sunday and bradwell is activated to carry some of the run load and to bolster special teams. I still think cutting darius to keep kelly was stupid, at least they didn’t lose him on waivers. Against washington they might want their most physical runner available, we’ll see.

I wonder if merrill and gaziano do the special practice squad call up this week to help with the run defense.

I wonder if merrill and gaziano do the special practice squad call up this week to help with the run defense. We got Elliot. He ain't scaring us. We had better have some big time pass defense dialed up. This is night and day different than Washington's offense. When I say night and day, I'm telling you point blank night and day. I told you Wash. WR's sucked ass. You saw the result. Listen to me once more. These guys do not suck. We need a defensive showing this week.

Joe Reed, 2020 5th round pick, was put on injured list yesterday. Maurice Ffrench, was signed to fill the position, he’s a UDRFA from PITT went undrafted in 2020. Ffrench spent all of last year and this past offseason on KC practice squad.
If the chargers are looking at him then it’s possible he might be a kick returner? Adderly is banged up and our kick return situation might be affected.
EDIT: looked this guy up, he IS a kick return specialist and he broke larry fitzgerald’s single season catch record at PITT with 96 receptions! He took 2 kickoff returns back for touchdowns for PITT. He’s 5’ 11” but weighs 200 pounds with long arms and huge hands. He catches contested balls and makes really nice adjustments on passes. Hard to tell what kind of route runner he is but a lot of his tape shows him getting behind DBs for long passes. He’s built like a receiving RB and is strong after contact, breaks tackles, and makes people miss. He looks fast as heck on tape but was not invited to the combine and his pro day got cancelled only days before he ran his 40. According to what I could find, he can run a 4.37 and Chief fans were really excited about him when he signed as a UDRFA with KC in 2020.

Turns out our WR coach beatty? He coached maurice at PITT his senior year, he went from 35 catches to 96 with beatty’s tutelage. The 2 kick returns for TDs is what I’m intrigued about… this staff puts a high value on guys that play special teams, with adderly nicked up it wont surprise me if this guy becomes the first practice squad active for game designee of the season. They might’ve brought him in to return kicks against the cowboys, he’s #80 and appears in the practice photos from yesterday

Clearly having a coach that knows the player as well as the Chargers' WR coach does, gets the kid a chance when the need developed. Let us hope if he plays, he plays quite well!
