I agree. If TW goes elsewhere, they will keep Benjamin at least until they sign someone else with deep speed. I may be the only one, but I hope they can keep TW. I see him as a good WR and he's getting better each year.
You are NOT the only one who wants to keep TW. I appreciate his story of advancing in our system, BUT in this crazy time of FA some team is going to offer TW crazy money--just hopefully not the Bolts. Why?!? PRiv has shown time and time again that HE MAKES THE WRs, not the other way around. He's thrown to plenty of non-high priced WRs. Again, I wish we could keep TW, but we will be fine if he signs elsewhere. As for Benjamin, I love his speed, but too often he was standing on the sidelines in sweats not helping the team. As others have stated, his money could be used elsewhere to HELP the team. My 2 cents...

They giving box safeties 6 years and 84 million dollar contracts right now and Bolt Brothers don't want to give Benja and T. Williams scraps !!! The 1967 payrolls are over.

I dunno . . . . it seems somewhat . . . . derivative. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. You know, like Alpaca's imitating Llamas, when they both imitating Camel's. Stuff like that.

I don't expect to see any big name, big paycheck, names to be signed. The cap space is small and we have some of our "own" still to re-sign. Even the $5 million you save by cutting TB won't get you far. And even then, you have to replace TB. Like money, 4.35 40's don't grow on trees. For all of TB's weaknesses, he does get deep quick and stretch the defense.

Get your safety in the draft. It's a deep class.

Get your safety in the draft. It's a deep class. I can understand this line of thinking. However, since we have so many needs, it would still be nice to get some kind of help in FA without overpaying. Especially considering how many safeties are available in FA currently.

The important part is not overpaying, which seems to be what is going on currently. Big dollar contracts are flying around, not TT's style..... Get your safety in the draft.

There will be really good FS's in the 3rd... after we select DT and OT (our biggest needs). After those 3 positions, we're really just looking for depth. The Perryman re-signing reduces our need at LB... and there are some nice LB's in later rounds that will be quality LB depth. In fact, there should still be some good FA FS's after the draft... in case you can't land the covetted FS in the draft.
