"W" . 5-3. 1st in AFCW. Yawn. Apparently some expected better. Yes I expect the defense to get off the field in a timely manner. Especially when the other team’s #1 RB is out. But go ahead and enjoy the win. I honestly wasn’t paying close attention. They lost me at the Patriots |

Didn't have to be that way... Right now, I don't like Staley/Lombardi. The game didn't have to be that close, our coaching staff needs to get it together. Yep. Really ugly defensive performance. Luckily Herbert and the offense held the ball until the end because they could not stop the Eagles. And that is sad. Because the Eagles are not a very good offensive team. And Jalen Hurts looked like OJ out there (minus the wife stabbing). Bosa is a bad investment. He plays mid level not superstar level. Derwin is kind of a non factor. In other words. Our defensive “superstars” are not taking games over or stepping up. I think we would be better if with Urban. He held the Bills to 6 today. Staley’s too cute. Take the points once in a while little man Derwin doesn’t look right, and it especially shows in his tackling which is usually spot-on automatic. My guess is that his shoulder is worse than what they’re letting on as he is having trouble wrapping. |

Tampa Bay was a run of the mill-may not make the playoffs team until December last year. Every season is different. Hell, the AFC is the wild wild West in 2021. Did anybody foresee the Jags beating the Bills or the Donkos taking the Cowboys behind the woodshed today? It’s crazy!! The Chargers need to keep stacking up W’s and work from there. |

We can always sell out to stop the run, invite them to pass but do not. In this game most likely because we're short on DBs. Offensive scoring, take an early lead and build on it would help.

We can always sell out to stop the run, invite them to pass but do not. In this game most likely because we're short on DBs. Offensive scoring, take an early lead and build on it would help.
Thats for sure... We're lucky it was the Eagles and not a team with better WR's.

Thats for sure... We're lucky it was the Eagles and not a team with better WR's. DeVonta Smith is pretty damned good. Having said that, they need Samuel Jr. back next week. It doesn’t seem likely that Davis will be ready yet, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed. 🤞 |

While I tend to agree that selling out to stop the run would have presumably seen the Eagles pass their way to victory, being selective in calling early down run blitzing might have gone a long way towards slowing their running efforts. The Chargers won, so hard to argue with the outcome......
