Your mock starts with picking 2nd rd talent in the 1st rd.......terrible reach, but typical from you PON guys. Huh ? Word is out there that Seattle is targeting Rapp for the 21st Pick of the first round....Don't give him a bad Rapp.
He can't cover, but is a run support tackling fool. Interesting.
I believe all that is being reported......especially these days, with the media being so astute. I didn't say Rapp was bad, I just said he is 2nd rd talent.

Of course, I did not post my mock without doing a great deal of research rounds 1 thru 7, so, yes, there's more.

Typically, I'm not one to try and win an argument by posting "experts" takes. Most of the time, I think they're kind of lazy and just post other's opinions without truly understanding what they're seeing on tape. I'll trust tape over expert writers. However, here's a guy that writes about the concerns I have for Rapp after watching his tape. This writers seems to have followed his career pretty closely. thedraftnetwork.com/articles/taylor-rapp-a-bright-star-in-unheralded-safety-classI'll be watching for his 40-time during his Pro Day. I think it will confirm my thoughts on Rapp... that when in single-high duties, he's very often late to help. His reads are fine, it's his long speed that I worry about. I don't think he can handle single-high against NFL speed.

Charles Davis at NFL.com mocks Rapp to us at 28. calling him a "sideline to sideline player." Rapp does not look particularly loose hipped. We are not talking about Malik Hooker here. But he sets up the defense and reads routes. Rapp is faster than Tashaun Gipson. ProDay is April 1. Next time we can talk Abrams !

Well with Coach Lynn declaring he is looking pretty well set with his offensive line and having the possibility of Lamp finally being able to play, I've made some changes to my most recent mock. Obviously DT is still one of our biggest needs so we get it done in Round 1
Round 2 we pick up that extra TE in the anticipation that Gates may actually retire someday.
I still think we could use some more depth on the OL and I've addressed that in Round 3.
Round 4 we get our free safety and add speed to our D
Round 5 could be the steal of the draft if underrated Tre Watson is still available.
Round 6 we pick up a OLB plus a SS backup giving us more depth and versatility.
Round 7 we pick up our tall replacement WR who was a two-time Walter Payton Award candidate and tallied 1,499 receiving yards last season Round 1 – DT - Dexter Lawrence*, Clemson Ht: 6-4. Wt: 350.
Round 2 – TE -Jace Sternberger*, Texas A&M Ht: 6-4. Wt: 250. 40 Time: 4.75
Round 3 – OT/ G -Max Scharping, OT/G, Northern Illinois Ht: 6-5. Wt: 327.
Round 4 – S - Darnell Savage, Maryland Ht: 5-11. Wt: 199 40 Time: 4.36
Round 5 - ILB -Tre Watson, Maryland Ht: 6-2. Wt: 236
Round 6 – S/OLB -Chase Hansen, Utah Ht: 6-3. Wt: 220 4.65 40
Round 7- WR - Keelen Doss – U.C. Davis 6-3 205

Speaking of WR, isn't there a kid out of Stanford that is a big guy (like Vincent), that could fit that need?

Speaking of WR, isn't there a kid out of Stanford that is a big guy (like Vincent), that could fit that need? Yes his name is J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. He's 6-2 - 225 but is a little slow running around a 4.57 40. However, he is a big, strong target who plays like he's big and strong and gets more and more dangerous the closer he gets to the red zone. Has Basketball bloodlines from both parents and was a Parade all American Basketball player in High School.
Unfortunately, if we were to take him, it would probably have to be in the 2nd which would trash my Mock so I don't like him. Plus his name is too long so he'd probably need two jerseys.

Thanks. He does sound like a good prospect. maybe he falls because he is slow.
