Why is nobody talking about the scenario where the Colts lose and the Steelers lose (or tie)?
In that scenario, the Raiders clinch before SNF starts -- they can comfortably LOSE their way into the 7 seed.

Well maybe, in that we can't single- handedly eliminate the turds, unfortunately. But in the hypothetical lala land we're exploring, do the turds rest starters and happily slide into the show?

No shoes, no vote..... I hate the idea, as it injures the brand big time, history be damned. Davis would try it, Spanos has no spine for it. The league would stop it...... As do I. It’s all theoretical in that it would never ever happen, but it would irreparably damage the Chargers franchise. Just the thought of them going along with the Raiduhs in this type of scheme makes me want to 🤮!! What I could see in the very off-chance the Colts lose a game against the woeful Jags (albeit they haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2016) is as follows: IF the game goes deep into OT and the Chargers or Raiduhs have the ball in their own territory and can run out the clock for a tie that puts both teams in, they will do so. That’s it. Let me ask you this. Why can the raiders and the Patriots "have their franchise irreparably damaged", have super bowls, but we can't. I'm not feeling that at all. John Madden, Belichick, Brady, etc. "Damaged" but they are all considered GOATs. But we can't possibly do such a thing !!!!

The Chargers are trying to build a fan base after moving into an ultra competitive market. Despite having Herbie, LA fans who are on the fence will never accept the Chargers after such a Raiderlike stunt. It would be their death nell in the LA market with this sham of a game permanently etched in their gravestone. Build your fan base the right way by playing the game the right way.

Sam Farmer of the LA Times picked the Raiders 27-24. “Feels like a season split”. Chargers can’t even get love from the hometown paper

It's time to start a new trend. The last time the Chargers were in this situation was 2008 when they whooped ass on the Donkos on Sunday Night in a last regular season game winner-take-all matchup. Time for history to repeat itself!!
