I meant his big contract. Two downers make less. If we nab him in the first we'd get a 5th year option on him !! No way he gets out of the first. Be lucky if he lasts to pick 17. Yes, I know. If he can tackle football players I have no problem with the pick. It's the first question I would ask everyone including the offensive players.

If we don't get Jordon Davis I can see them picking CB Trent McDuffie out of Washington to replace Chris Harris His only major negative is his size (Jason Verrett). I have seen him ranked everywhere from 15th to 32 in the draft. Seems like he has some boom or bust in him at the NFL level. For a first round pick I want some certainty.

Is it possible that lightning strikes 3 drafts in a row? can we get the best player available at a position of need? Herbert - Check Slater - check Davis?  !?!? If we got a physical stud that can develop I would be happy. What I would be happier with is some solid depth in the later rounds. |

Last years draft was top heavy towards offense with 5 QB's in the 1st round. This year looks to be run on Defense so yes to get a difference maker in the middle of the first round for a position of need makes sense to me. Granted I would like Jordon Davis to plug up the middle but I expect he will be gone by 17. here is a good writeup on all the CB's and have McDuffie #3 walterfootball.com/draft2022CB.php |
