JC Jackson. Just for a heads up. We have NEVER had this guy before. Pure shutdown Corner. It's beyond exciting. Samuel Jr. is our drafted young star, and he is asking Jackson for tips.
When you can eliminate the WR1 each week, it allows you to do SO much on defense.

I believe that there's a highlight of it on NFL.com. He really went and extended for it. Great catch! BTW The free poster that they handed out at practice today that had the schedule on the bottom features Jackson. They know what they have! If y'all haven't read Jeff Miller's article on Jackson and his background last week, you need to find it either in this thread or the offseason thread. The dude had a lot of significant roadblocks thrown in his path dating from high school, but he has overcome them and thrived.

Callahan almost had a pick off of Herbie. Hiding in the middle of the field, and Herbie didn’t see him. Bryce Callahan nearly intercepted Herbert in 7-on-7. He jumped a throw intended for Keenen Allen over the middle. Asante Samuel Jr. had the primary coverage and was all over Allen. Callahan was roving underneath and read Herbert’s eyes. Callahan is having an outstanding camp. He seems to have the slot corner position in the nickel defense locked up. “That’s home for Bryce,” Hill said of Callahan playing in the slot. “He’s done it since he came into the national football league. He also has a great ability to play outside. But we know his strong suit is playing inside. He’s calm in there. He’s seen a lot. Haven’t seen Bosa & Mack, Sebastian-Day and others since the walkthrough session. Probably a vets day off before the Sunday scrimmage. Edge rushers Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack did not participate in team drills. Just rest days, according to Hill: “We got a big ramp up with the pads coming on, so we wanted to make sure those guys are ready to go for those practices coming up.” |
