These type of practices seem to favor the defence... But to be fair.....the offence made some seriously good plays. It was practice.....nothing more.

Sean Payton is out there. You think his squad gives up 8 sacks to the cowboys? You think his dbs don’t turn their heads?

Popper says the Chargers gave up 8 sacks to the Cowboys yesterday in 11 on 11 scrimmage. 8 SACKS Everybody on OL gave up at least one. Except I don't think Linsley played. There was mumbling about CGs using scheme & stunts we weren't ready for. Good lesson!

Popper says the Chargers gave up 8 sacks to the Cowboys yesterday in 11 on 11 scrimmage. 8 SACKS Most were pretty fancy looking blitzes to my untrained eyes that were split evenly between 1st and 2nd teams. Nothing jumped out at me where I went "Damn, Player X got beaten like a rented mule!". It was more of the stunts & scheme variety that teams normally don't face in training camp, and that's one of the reasons why these joint practices are so valuable. I don't think that either of the offenses were expecting to see that kind of scheming yesterday as the Chargers were reportedly all over Dak and backups in a similar fashion (too far away to see from the stands), and I'm betting both teams will be more prepared today for the fancy stuff. We'll see what reports are from today's session soon enough.

Again, nothing jumped out at me even with Pipkins & Norton playing on the side of the line closest to the stands yesterday. Since nobody was touching the QB and the rushes weren't coming straight at the QB, sacks were deemed to be anybody who came within breathing distance of Herbert ... and we know that Herbert is weak in the pocket who tends to crumble like Jim Everett in the Rams-49ers NFC Championship Game. Micah Parsons tends to give problems to pretty much everybody he faces, so I don't expect that we'll have an answer to whether there is improvement or not at RT until mid-late September following the Raiduhs & Chefs games.

Or crumble into a ball on the ground like Carr does.
