It would have to be a disaster before they fired both......I just do not see it. I'm with FrozenDisc on this. I think TT has a great job building starting teams in all three phases, and some hit or miss depth behind that. Staley is still in the honeymoon phase so he's safe outside of some exceptional Gruden-esque misfortunes. If the Chargers are not competitive through the playoffs, I can't see the primary blame being on the head coach or GM. The GM has done his job, it's now time for the coach to do his and have the team motivated and prepared to win each game. Then it will the player's burden to execute and do their part. SO I think TT is safe, and I don't see Staley failing to do his part. They are both safe. And for the record, I see the players on our team doing their part and doing it well so we shouldn't even be in a position to think about making changes! Playoff bound, and then some!!! I'm with frozen too. And just for the record, I think this is our year. But for the hypothetical sake of the job security topic... I think they are both safe as well, if things go sour this year I think Lombardi will be the odd man out.

Oh, when will I stop having to clutch my pearls in the 4th quarter ?!?!?!?!?! (I'm not going to stop wearing them of course)

Predicting that the Chargers would draft their future QB in the 1st round of the 2020 draft wasn’t exactly going out on a limb as almost everyone predicted it was going to happen. 🤷♂️

Do I bother to try and explain my vast vast vast knowledge, or.............ok, because you all begged me for it.................... Herbert is drafted and comes on the scene like wild fire. No playoffs. Anthony Lynn fired. Oh but "there were other problems with Lynn."................... Herbert second year. Amazing ! No playoffs. Owners "Why in the living hell do we have THIS GUY and we are not in the playoffs ?" Stop right there. If you do not think that exact meeting with that exact question happened you are absolutely 100% delusional. Staley "We need to get Herbert some help. He's on a rookie contract so the window is NOW. We gave up 4000 yards a game rushing, Bosa needs a bookend, Davis has girlfriend trouble and we don't have a star CB anyway." Owners "Telesco, open up the checkbook. You and Staley figure this shit out and get who we need in here !!!!" We-do-not-go-to-the-playoffs-again-and-heads-will-roll, and I'm not talking about the god damn punting coach either. NO owners would put up with this. Not the suck ones, not the average ones, and not the good ones. Period. ANNNNNDDDDDDD Now its worse. We are projected as a super bowl team. You don't think the owners read that shit ?!?!?!?! Then you don't even make the playoffs ?? Owners have pride. Explosion.

Staley is in a prove it or lose it year for me. He came in touted as a defensive genius but we ranked 30th in d. They went out and signed the splash free agent cb, traded for Mack and picked up a bunch of other pieces. No excuses this year Brandon.

So let me ask you all believing the 'PO's or firings' chatter......
Is there any move, signing, decision you feel right now is a mistake made by TT?
I have read no criticism of the moves the Chargers have made this offseason. In fact, the moves made seem to have elevated the Chargers into the media's Super Bowl contender grouping.
TT is safe....regardless of how it plays out.
