I don’t think so. Look at the snap count. They’re not feeding them }1 snaps. This season is cooked so they should start seeing what they have for next year. But agree on dumping Ek. Time to move on. Snap count tells me they can't perform, just like QJ. We can complain about Lombardi and now Moore but at the end of the day they see these players more than we do. Our RB's suck and our oline is not much better. I think we just don’t know. But it’s certainly more likely that the whole RB room needs a turnover. I keep saying, the next couple of years are going to be rough—and that’s only if we get a good GM.

It is not over until it is over. Fourth quarter is how you need to have all hands on deck and find ways to win. Even if you are exhausted and tired, you can't quit. Staley should realize it is not over until the clock hits all zeroes!

Chiefs found Pacheco in the 7th. Those guys are out there every year. Unless you’re Tom Telesco

No way. Time for a rebuild of the RB room. Next year is a flush season anyway. Let’s see what Spiller and Dotson can do, and if JK can carry the load. We already have this information... None of them are better than Ekeler. Get rid of Ekeler if you wish but either replace him in the draft or in free agency... The other scrubs on our roster just plain suck ass. Ekeler isn't as good as Ekeler WAS. Kelley has better YPC, none are stars. Blocking? Moore said that he would find some go-to plays that work. I'm not impressed - but we ARE better than last year's #28 run offense. Currently #14. Baby steps.

Making the playoffs is unlikely, not impossible.

I get the math. Have you seen this team play? lol. I have a bridge to sell you if you’re interested.

I expect that it will be too little too late. I have seen them play. They were 1 play away from potentially beating one of the best teams in the NFL last week. Still too many "IF's" involved for a lock prediction IMO.

I agree with your take which is why I wish they would just fire Staley now and see what Moore can do... Or even Ficken. We've seen Staley, he's not the guy, just get it over with and see what we have in our coordinators. We might have had Steichen as HC right now if Spanos would have just pulled the trigger on Lynn during the season. The Chargers have the talent to improve...

Not impressed with Moore but Says have become a solid unit under Ficken

They’re not going to fire Staley until after the season is over unless they are embarrassed or forced to the point they have no choice.
Also: Where is all this talent? The roster is expensive and hurt, not good or deep. We have a few good players. Tuli, a rookie, is probably the best D player this year; the next-closest is Mack, and then Fox. We have no pass D.
Keenan has been the best offensive player and is the only remaining good WR. The line is either hurt or playing poorly. The RBs are basically useless. ST has been a good unit, and we have a good kicker, so there’s that.

I can drive my Ferrari like a Honda and its still a Ferrari... Not saying our team is overly talented thanks to Coupon Tom, but they are better than their current record.

Tells me Staley has a poor scheme....which the results show. While I like Allen, and he has done his usual awesome effort, Herbert is the best O player....by far.

But this year it’s been Tuli. I was excluding JH because he’s so obviously the franchise QB and we all know what he can do. Broader point is that the team’s actual talent isn’t as high as most think it is. Much of the performance gap is coaching… but it isn’t all coaching. No matter, we’ll have even less next year to get cap compliant. We have to hope for a good drafting GM to replace TT.

DJ has been used poorly, imo, and spare me Tuli is the Chargers D player of the year. If the season ended at this point, Mack would be the best D player. It has been three seasons of poor defence, the statistics show it. Staley is not the D genius, fire him and find a solid DC. These steps are so obvious, even an ice hockey guy can see them.....
