Austin Ekeler got 4 carries. Our coach is "saving him" for later.
Our QB with obviously-serious rib injury was still in the game taking hits with under 5 minutes left down by 4 touchdowns.
Forget about the bottom of the barrel, are-you-freaking-kidding-me play calling.
Forget about the obviously flat energy of the entire team.
Let me repeat: A HEALTHY EKELER GOT 4 CARRIES. AN UNHEALTHY FRANCHISE QB WAS LEFT IN THE GAME TO TAKE HITS LATE IN THE 4TH DOWN BY 4 (FOUR) TOUCHDOWNS.
Please, I beg you -- defend this absolute, 100% crap coaching. I can't wait to see someone defend this nonsense -- but I know someone will . . . . .

Oh don't worry frozen is trying to do just that... Its all the oline's fault. And if you watched the post game presser, Herbert staying in the game was HIS fault. "He didn't want to come out".
This is Kevin Gilbride territory, I would hope Spanos and TT are doing there due dilligence and making a plan for firing but it is still early in the season. I'm going to wait for the bye week before I really bring out my torch and pitchfork, I will wear my bag with pride though.

The super awesome thing is seeing Shane Steichen lead the league in total offense in Philly.

Easy to blame the coaching, and certainly the stink of blame lands on all involved, but just look at the players injured......that is some serious talent not playing. You guys want to turn this into a me against you deal, which it isn't. I just see things from a very different perspective then most. Ownership, management, coaching staff and players have built this raft, and they are heading down river, like it or not. First bit of rapids and you guys are like rats jumping off.....fans have that option, eh

It was on full display Sunday and contrasted with the smart design Doug Pederson employed. We are wasting Herbert. Defense no better. They gave up 38 points to JaX after spending all their off season money on defensive stars. Jc a no show, Mack a no show. Run defense collapses again at a critical moment just like it did in KC. Give me a Marty Ross or Coryell any day over the child Staley. He is in over his head. They were so anxious to suckle off the McVay coaching tree that they got snowed by fast talking Staley.

This is how you lay down some smack folks. Using "suckle" in smack got the nomination. "Fast talking Staley" closes the deal. Nice.

How they respond vs Hou and on still counts. My expectations are definitely lower but I'm curious to see if Staley's team had any fight in them going forward. We should beat HOU. Do it dammit!

Houston hasn't won yet this year, so yeah we should win. Just execute methodical football and we can win. Will we ?

That should mean they will be looking at a Charger club that appears to be in disarray and primed to lose again. Yes, a big chunk of preparing the Chargers for this rebound will come from Staley and staff, but the players have their leadership that needs to be stepping up as well. This will be a telling game......
