I keep remembering what her played like in college and as a rookie and I was hoping he could get healthy and play like that again. He the one guy we had that may have been able to cover Hill. and now Antonio Brown.

I would have kept him around for that amount. Maybe he'll never be the player her was again - who knows? But for that price.. if he's still close to the player her was.. that's a great signing. If he stays healthy ofc

If he stays healthy ofc That's tough to do after you have spent more than $10 million over the 2017 & 2018 seasons for 1 game played.

One of my Steelers buddies was just telling me they drafted CB Golson in 2015, used their second round pick on him. Are you ready for this ? He has never even been to one practice !!!!! OUCH

It's just that fear that we paid for all the bad years and now someone else will get the healthy JV π
But I get why they let him go. And maybe it's good I'm not a GM haha π

I like Verrett, so I hope he stays healthy as he's had some horrific luck on the injury front; however, I too will have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach if he does so. I'm sure that it was a tough decision not to match that money, but I'm guessing that the Chargers were hoping that he could slip by for something like $2 million, but the Niners rolled the dice.

If he beats all the odds and plays a few games, there's no telling what kind of player he will be after being broken badly so often. I doubt he'll be the same.

That sounds logical. Time will tell if the decision will leave us with a sick feeling or not. And at least we have some talent on CB still - no matter how Verrett ends up playing.
