Foles worries me, but I have some confidence in the Charger defense. I’m trying to get used to the new Nyboltfan1 I can’t speak for NY but I’m a strong skeptic, not a pessimist or nihilist. It’s amazing how attitudes can shift towards positive when the team shows some *consistency*, good fundamentals, and generally good play calling/game management. That is what I wanted and I’m not going to move the goalposts on the team with respect to my view of it. |

I’m trying to get used to the new Nyboltfan1 I think watching a lot of other teams struggle around the nfl made me realize with parity it’s really difficult to win football games. Bills, Chiefs, Titans etc. they all struggle in games. You don’t see the blow outs of old for sure. With all the injuries this team has had to be 8-6 is a sign of pretty decent coaching. I feel if the OC is replaced this could be a solid team. |

Bills, Chiefs, Titans etc. they all struggle in games. You don’t see the blow outs of old for sure. With all the injuries this team has had to be 8-6 is a sign of pretty decent coaching. I feel if the OC is replaced this could be a solid team. It is hard to win every week.....that noted, I look to see a reasonable consistent effort, in all aspects. The Chargers have not had that consistency.....yet, they are still in the hunt. Forced to play depth players......getting star players back from injury......this might end up being a club that comes together at the perfect time of season.....the playoffs!

I feel if the OC is replaced this could be a solid team. What we are hopefully seeing is an end to “chargering”. To be 8-6 with all the injuries with let’s face it an unprecedented number to our key key guys including Herbert is pretty good. We are talking about playoff clinching scenarios with 3 games left. But in years past I think we lose these tight games either because we miss a fg, make a ST gaffe or throw a pick or fumble on what might have been a game winning drive. What I’m noticing is that the team isn’t beating themselves. Dumb penalties are way down. Turnovers seem down. And now those injured guys are coming back. Hope is a dangerous thing but it’s returning |

I feel if the OC is replaced this could be a solid team. Good post and very true. Staley seems like he is learning, maybe the mid season losses humbled him. I still don't think Lombardi is good for Herbert, we can win the Superbowl and I'd still say we can do better than him...
