A couple of footnotes: Ekeler is a great football player. Gives 100%, he trains like the devil and is even called the strongest player pound for pound in the league. Talented runner, the first tackler often misses. frozendisc said the front office would never give him a raise. Footnote/wonder what the incentives are as Ekeler would ideally not be relied upon as much as he was last season and his number of touches would decline

Darius Davis brings a "pound for pound" strongest label with him. Interesting. Darren Sproles was built from the same mold. Derius Davis is listed at 174lbs, the kid is a featherweight... Sproles came in at 190lbs. If Davis survives his first season I'll be shocked... I hope they can put some weight on him.

Show up at OTA's with a Chargers fishing hat and stay hydrated watching the rookies run around: 1 Million. Tell the press that you were never leaving and Telesco is like a father to you: 1 million.

Doesn’t hit the cap this year IIRC. Pointing out the obvious for Freak.....and you are correct, I believe any bonus money earned hits the following season's cap.

The 'possible' bonus money can't be counted against the cap until it is realized. At least that is my read on it, and I am no NFL cap expert. An example would be a player gets a bonus of one million if said player has five interceptions. In game ten said player makes his fifth interception, thereby locking in the bonus money from 'possible' to 'earned', and that million now counts against the cap. I believe this is why GM's include all possible bonus money when calculating the daily cap space.

I believe this is why GM's include all possible bonus money when calculating the daily cap space. There are incentives categorized as "likely to be earned", that apply to current year cap. I understand those to be performance metrics that the player was able to achieve the previous season. If that's correct, seems like most of AE's incentive money does count against this year's cap (and would be credited back next year if not attained).

And I'm just noticing that Freak already indicated as much with his LTBE mentions.
