Not a complete sterling review from most analysts but the size and athleticism seems unquestionable.
KA Williams Palmer Guyton Johnston
Did our WR corps get better?

Please jailbreak a jugs machine and start practicing how to catch lasers from Herbert.

I think he is better for us than Addison but can he be better than Flowers? Time will tell.

In any event, when Palmer/Quenton is your WR4, you have a very deep WR group. WHEW. Couple that with Everett, Ekeler, who in the living hell do you cover if you are on defense ??

Like many of you, I've begun watching some videos and research on Quentin Johnston.
I've learned he isn't a Mike Williams clone despite the measurables being similar. His play is more catch and run than contested catches or above the rim, leaping highlights. And it's his quick feet and explosiveness more than his straight speed that make him a special player.
And the negatives popped up about drops, not the best run blocker, route-running and some others.
So I haven't exactly changed my mind about this pick- I was not happy. but it was understandable so not a bad pick.
One comment from a video I watched that did make me optimistic was something like this- a TCU fan told a Charger fan that QJ was held back by the quarterback play at TCU, and that QJ has much more potential!
That would be great to see, especially with a great QB and pro-level coaching, so maybe the Bolts will look like geniuses if QJ really does improve/develop quickly.

I def feel like that could be something that is overlooked when evaluating alot of players.

After the first round ended, Staley pointed to this play as being an example of how explosive Johnston's movement is despite his 4.51 forty time. The Michigan corner that Johnston beats and turns the corner on at the line of scrimmage turned in the fasted 40 time of all players tested before the draft.

TCU had a pretty good QB leading them to the championship game. Of course he’s no Herbert, but who is.
