" Everett: "OK, coach- but I sure am tired so I'm just gonna run half this route and hope the ball isn't thrown near me cause if one of these Chiefs intercepts it I'ma have to just watch them run it back 99 yards for a touchdown." Sleepy poo on one route at KC early in the season and Bryce Callahan getting blatantly one-arm shoved off by Demarcus Robinson at the start of the drive with 90 seconds left after the Chargers had taken the lead late in the year turned two highly-likely W's over the Chefs into L's changed the trajectory of the season - even when you don't take into consideration the beyond-belief run of injuries that plagued the Chargers. Don't know if everybody has seen this, but check out the 8:25 mark of the Callahan mic'd up video for the pushoff on first down that changed field position from a 1st & 20 from the Chefs own 15 yard line to 1st & 10 near midfield as the Chargers sideline goes ballistic. This happened at the opposite end of the field from my seats, so I didn't see this until weeks later. If you're not sure whether Callahan inexplicably stumbled and fell, check out the 8:35 mark with the postgame handshakes where Robinson admits to Callahan that he got away with one. I suppose the blame order will be Wilson > Lombardi > Payton. undoubtedly.......but I thought the Donks got scammed with that trade by the SeaChickens. Wilson is damaged beyond repair.....yes he has experience, but that throwing shoulder is done.
