All of the jibby jive talk in your post is over. None of it will matter. Lame excuses, etc. Does Justin Herbert have any playoff wins ? No ? Then you are fired. We need people that will make this happen. The end.
Its a business, and results are all that matters. The business results are stunning. The value of NFL franchises keeps skyrocketing. The Spanos’ spend to the cap on players but go cheap on coaches and probably gm. Winning would be nice but not necessary for business success in the NFL. So rinse and repeat. Who’s the next rookie HC they can hire for cheap? Kellen Moore........

I like this roster and coaching staff a lot. Clearly TT needs to be fired if the Chargers do not at least play in the AFC Championship. It means he failed to find bulletproof starters again.

Moore's QB coach Nussmeier is a qualified OC candidate. Staley hired staff that are A list replacements. Looks like he's concentrating on winning. Period. ps: Nuss is a QB whisperer. Herbert is in excellent hands. Odds are good you'll have to be satisfied with firing people in your dreams. Spanos may object to firing another 14 win HC.

I happen to like Moore. But Results-wins is all. Make the playoffs. Win a game MINIMUM. That is all.

Entering his 11th season as GM, his teams have three playoff appearances and two playoff wins in the wild card round (2013 and 2018) to show for his work. I like TT and I’m generally not an “off with their heads” type of fan, but given that a major roster reconfiguration needs to be undertaken due to the forthcoming cap crunch I don’t see him (or Staley) surviving & being put in charge of the reconfiguration if yet another season goes by without procuring a playoff win. Staley does have the bullet in his belt in that he hasn’t mortgaged the future (i.e., traded away multiple high end draft picks) like the Rams did when they went “all in” in 2021 |

What did winning the Superbowl actually do for the Rams? Do they have more fans in LA because of it? I'd argue not... Did it make Kroenke more money? Oh I'm sure it did, but why? Because he owns the stadium. If the Chargers win the Superbowl what do we get? What does Spanos get?
