He took some snaps in the middle against SF I hope Kellen Moore is cooking up something special for his ex-boss. Revenge is best served cold. I hope Moore is all over the playbook map...... I also hope Moore devised some trick plays that come from basic expected 'Moore" sets.....

To this point, I think he's only been given 1 jet-sweep opportunity and no bubble screen opportunities. I like that they're lining him up in the backfield... but I'd like to see more motion across the formation and "quick motion" ala Mike McDaniels and Kyle Shannihan play design. I think they're slowly expanding his role. The silver-lining in MW's injury is that they start getting QJ and DD more playing-time. Also, it's time to get Gerald Everett more involved. It was smart to draft receiver depth... time to see if that young talent can take on more responsibility.

It seemed as if Moore did not have that 'Ekeler' option with any of the other RB's, and looked elsewhere on the roster, DD was the guy. Small, fast, has good hands as a WR, just needed to teach him the plays and responsibilities from the position versus WR. There was success in that, so I expect his use to grow. Getting Ekeler back is ideal, but discovering hidden talents and options is great also. As far as QJ and DD getting opportunities due to MW injury, no question, but they bring a completely different style to the table. Moore has lost that 'jump ball' style with the loss of MW....maybe Parham but he is hurt a lot, so....the offence needs to evolve to the skills it has available, and that will be a big example of Moore's abilities as OC.

Yeah, I don't expect QJ or DD to replace (or even do) some of the things Mike did (jump-balls being his forte). But DD could certainly stretch the field both vertically and horizontally. QJ's strength is YAC. Get him into space with play design and routes that get him into space.

Moore has had the bye to fully adjust the offence to the loss of MW, I am hoping to see creativity in how QJ and or DD get implemented.

Shifts, motion, creative play design. Hopefully JH is making pre-snap reads and getting the ball to his playmakers in space.

Chargers greatest strength on offense- pass. Dallas greatest weakness on D - run. Use one to set up the other, use motion to disguise.

Before the 49er game, the Cowboys were giving up 4.7 ypc on the ground... and facing one of the best RB's in football (McCaffrey). They committed to stopping McCaffrey (51 yards @2.7 ypc). They opted to see if B. Purdy could beat them... he did. They chose their poison...

Austin Ekeler has been a full-participant the last 2 practices. Sure will be nice to have him back. KA, JP, QJ, GE, DD are the receiving threats. We should be able to hang 30 on the Cowboys... if we can account for Parsons.
