I am hearing the Chargers "would love" to trade down. Wow. That ups the news big time.

If Marvin Harrison Jr. is still there at five, would you still trade down (for similar compensation as we've been hearing all along, like the Vike's 11 & 23)?
I'm on record as believing MHJ is the best prospect in the this draft, so he's the only one I would favor over a trade down!
But would you be mad if we passed on an available MHJ and traded back?

If MHJ is there, you draft him. I am about there on Nabers, depending on what we get by trading down. If you make it up to me with a hot Bowers, CB, and a Center I could understand it. We have needs. We sadly just do. JC Latham OT Alabama is getting some big forecast for the Chargers on draft day. ............................................................

Bowers trouble: We could trade down to 11, but Aaron Rodgers and the Jets have the 10th pick. They would love to have him.

I would not be mad at a trade down if MHJ is available. There are many areas that need upgrades and the extra picks will help. I would definitely be pissed if we traded down from MHJ and picked a WR at 11 because it means their plan sucks. I think trading MHJ would yield more than pick 11 & 23. I would be expecting a 2025 second and third as well.

If there is a trade down for the Chargers, Bowers being off the board probably helps the fans accept OT, CB..... Heck....It won't surprise me if they take an OT at 5th.....there is so much smoke in the room I can't see the walls anymore.

I'd be surprised simply because I think Hortiz would be smart enough to not draft a RT at #5. But yea, anything is possible.

I'm OK with most ideas for the draft. We're in a good position in a talent rich draft with a hungry new GM and HC. Just waiting for the result. I'd bet on a CB early. NLT 3, CB 1. 2024 opponents will attack our formerly very weak pass D hard and often until we prove we can defend the pass.

I am on record as being against making a trade down with the Vikings for 11 and 23 cause do expect to that Bowers and all the top WR's will be gone. If does happen then I expect we would grab a RT at 11 (Fuaga/Lathan) then CB at 23 (DeJean) Why not flip the positions ? CB T. Arnold Alabama at 11 and Fautanu OT Washington at 23 . I doubt Fautanu or any of the top OT prospects would make it to 23

Big enough that if we trade down and pick a WR anyway I'll be pissed. I will be pissed off too. If WR is Hortiz's highest priority, stay at 5 and take your choice. Picking the fourth WR at pick 11 is such a rookie Telesco move. There are so many other value picks at 11. LMAO -- talk about bringing back memories. Remember when we took the SIXTH O-Lineman with the 11th overall pick? Just thinking about it, I need a drink.

I think it’s highly unlikely that MHJ would be there at 5 and a lucrative trade down offer would be on the table. Almost mutually exclusive. If MHJ is there, it would almost certainly mean that the Cards traded out of the 4th pick with a team moving up to get whatever QB (Maye or McCarthy) was still on the board. If the Cards keep the pick they are taking MHJ which means the 4th QB is still on the board and there could be multiple offers in play to get him. That’s the way I see it.

In Daniel Jeremiah's last mock, he has the Cardinals taking MHJ at 4; AND us staying at 5 to take JC Latham.
With the Vikings staying at 11 and still getting McCarthy. His reasoning for that: "I believe they've [the Vikings] grown more comfortable with Michael Penix Jr. as a fallback option if a team were to leapfrog them for McCarthy."
