What is your list of HC candidates for the Chargers? What do you want to see in said candidate?

I haven't thought deeply other than that. We need an accountable guy. Not give up big plays and 41 points at home and just move on to the next game. You have to stop the madness at some point. I mean I love the madness, but its not for everyone.

We are still picking HC's that Spanos would never hire, the biggest reason is cost associated with these two.

Belichick already signed to a contract with pats. Harbaugh won’t leave college. Jimbo Fisher is being paid 7 mil a year to sit on his couch. I am sure we can grab him for a Spanos friendly deal. he may suck in the NFL but he is a high profile coach with a history of success.

Posting this in case there was any doubt on how cheap Spanos is. College coaches are being paid almost double than what the Chargers are paying.

Posting this in case there was any doubt on how cheap Spanos is. College coaches are being paid almost double than what the Chargers are paying. That pretty well says it all. We're going to get stuck with someone with zero HC experience. |

Posting this in case there was any doubt on how cheap Spanos is. College coaches are being paid almost double than what the Chargers are paying. I would tend to think the process was much more along the path of.....initial interview by club, liked by club, then club asked what they are looking for, and being a first time HC....agent went pretty low cost. Highly unlikely Spanos was involved in any of that interaction. To be fair, SOME college HC's are being paid double......my guess is it is not the norm.
