REACT Without insight to how they become cap compliant, it is challenging to guess any spending plan, eh Tagging is spending......is it not? Yeah, its complicated too. There are 3 different types of Tags. Some of them players can negotiate with other teams. If the other team wants them, they pay nicely with draft pick(s). The franchise tag you have to pay them the average of the top 5 pay at their position, or 120% of their last pay, whichever is higher. You tell them they are tagged, and then they have until summer to sign.

Ekeler doesn't accept a single year deal....at least not from the Chargers. I bet he does, especially being another year older. Nobody is going to give him a multi year deal and he knows that.
