Being an instance University of Michigan fan AND Los Angeles Charger fan, I have a good idea why Keenan Allen was moved to Chicago. I have watched Harbaugh build a culture at Michigan that was "The Team, The Team, The Team". Everyone buys into that mentality 100% or they are not on the team. Mack and Bosa bought into that and agreed to restructure due to the issues with the cap and the need to free up money to make the team better. (The Team, The Team, The Team). Keenan was asked to do the same. He declined. Less than 24 hours he is sent along to go play for Chicago. I LOVE Keenan Allen. I have loved watching him every play he has made since becoming a Charger. BUT, not there is no room for even the slightest lack of full buy in to the new culture. Is he a huge loss, yes. But can we still be great without him, yes. This loss will only help enforce the new culture. I saw how it completely changed the Wolverines and made them a National Champion. Harbaugh will do the same for the Chargers and bring LA a Superbowl WIN.

Keenan was asked to take a pay cut. Can you reconcile that for us ?

I disagree with the characterization here. To even imply Bosa is more of a team player than KA is absolutely ludicrous, history shows otherwise. KA is was on the wrong side of 30 and cost too much money, period. We have no idea what his pay cut request entailed so can't judge.

I have zero issue with Keenan saying no. The finite career of the NFL player needs to be taken advantage of. He more than earned his money with his performance last year. And now the Bears will pick up the tab for the rest.

Found it. Mack cut 4.5 million. Bosa cut 7 million.
