Much better, good adjustments by Roman. Bozeman is a baller... Tomlinson sucks... McConkey is our WR1 When Bozeman knocked the shit out of the D line dude cranking on Herbos ankle, it was great. No way that should have been offsetting. I hope that dude is fined.
Winning is better than losing.

Agreed. That was complete bullshit, and cannot be seen as anything other than willful intent to injure. A fine is not enough. Bozeman should get a medal from the nfl.

Congrats Charger fans! We beat a shitty NO team that lost its 6th straight and was using its #3 QB by the end.
On the bright side, Herbert looked very good, seems the ankle isn't bothering him and that long run ignited the team. He made some great throws to McConkey and Palmer and Dissly (but Dissly dropped it). Made a nice one to Fehoko in the back of the end zone as well. Didn't count but man.
Of course our offense was putrid in the first half and we have no running game again. Despite spending another #1 pick on an OL. 3 of the last 4 drafts and Herbertvstill gets pressured and we can't run.

That is the problem.....Chargers beating inferior clubs.....and struggling to do so. Even if they make the PO's, which is not a given by any measure, they are probably just fodder for the better clubs.

Ladd McConkey was special. 6 catches on 6 targets for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 60-yard

He has been playing conservative compared to how he played at UGA. He's a small guy. Seeing that these guys are bigger, stronger and faster has caused him to be a little timid and risk adverse at time. Maybe seeing Justin put his body on the line yesterday helped but he looked like the Ladd I knew yesterday.

When they are on the ground trying to twist your QB's leg off of his body I'd get a little "risk adverse" too !

They showed some life, tying our highest score of the year before it was over. I'll take that.

For a small guy he does a good job of protecting himself and going down to avoid a hit. He is lightning quick, elusive, and a great route runner. He just needs to keep his confidence up and avoid direct hits whenever possible. On a side note, I loved Justin’s attitude yesterday. I’ve been wanting to see the “phuk it, I’m taking over this game” attitude that he had his first couple of years that Staley either coached or sucked out of him. He’s getting his swagger back.

Herbert's run woke them up a bit but they were sleepwalking to start that game. The defense seemed to open up once Herbert ran on them. Almost two different games. Expect to see more Herbert running the ball going forward.
