Whisenhut should be fired over Lynn IMHO... Its not Lynn its the terrible play calling, and Lynn still has the locker room. The question in these situations is never about the firing, but about the hiring......not a really good time to be hiring, at least hiring anybody that could be an upgrade. I don't buy that, that's a terrible excuse for keeping an ineffective OC.

I don't buy that, that's a terrible excuse for keeping an ineffective OC. Buy it or not, it is reality. Moves such as firings always have a plan in place, might be AL takes over OC duties, but there is a plan moving forward. Think about just who you would hire, you know he is working, and leaving this early in a season is not a good look. Most, if not all, would politely turn you down.

its hard to put a finger on it. The bolts don't seem to be playing as a unit. Like each player is trying to beat out the guy next to him, rather than the team in front. Losing to Miami, would be a catastrophe. But oddly, unless the bolts start playing like there is two halves, a loss wouldn't be out of the question. I'm a giver. give to the cause. I must sacrifice myself now. if we lose to Miami you can ban me for 4 days. I think the whole board would ban themselves....

The seat is only warm to YOU, not to the ownership that has a long term commitment to the coach. 1-2 injured hot seat is the most ridiculous thing I have heard this week. Just silly. Like goalie goofy silly. It is not like I am calling AL's seat hot......but roll along as you like. about an hour ago frozendisc said: Losing puts you squarely on the hot seat,

Lynn was just quoted as saying Jenkins is playing at an elite level so why put Nas in?Now THAT should put some smoke under his seat!

Just a few impressions based on my perception of the team over a few decades.
The Bolts generally seem to prefer stability and continuity.
If things trend up, and they land 8-8 or better with a playoff spot, then fewer major changes would seem most likely. Potentially some changes to S&C, position coaches, possibly OC/DC.
If things trend down, and they land 7-9 to 5-11, then likelihood of more significant scheme changes goes way up. Probable turnover of coordinators they view as responsible, and position coaches.
If things trend way down, then likelihood of more drastic changes goes way up. Potentially a mid-season change to a coordinator to give an assistant/position coach they view as a potential coordinator a working interview. They’ve done a decent chunk of time to get a feel for what the coaches can do with this roster and they probably won’t run out PR’s last years without having a sense that they can get to the dance.

Dear lightsy.
The OC/DC are not committing penalties, creating turnovers, and dropping passes.

Yep. But someone has to pay, and these are the practicalities. I think Disc warned about the lack of talent a while ago.
