If it were me,,,,,,somebody would be answering how we have Price in the net and can never make the playoffs. Heads would roll.
We were not expected to be close to making the PO's this past season, yet came quite close. Plenty of serious talent in our system, some will make the Habs next year, we are building for a solid long term future. I am very positive about our PO chances moving forward. No need to pull out the guillotine just yet, eh ? Price's window of opportunity is shattered.

Any of you hockey guys have Tampa Bay being swept in rd 1? Very very very talented team, but one that sadly has a choke aspect....... This was a bit of Columbus adding serious talent to their heavy team, and TB just not being able to handle that heavy in your face style of play. Nobody I spoke with expected sweep, but more than one said 'watch out' for the upset in this series.

Colorado/Calgary was a heckuva game last night. Both goaltenders had some outstanding saves.
For awhile I thought Smith looked like superman and would shut them out, but maybe attrition finally got the better. They pounded him with a ton of shots.

The winner of that series (Calgary/Colorado) is who I think has a great chance to win the Cup.....
If Calgary manages to win G5, the Boss and I are going to fly out to watch G6 in Colorado.

Both home markets come with substantial pressure, nothing like in Montreal, but still plenty of expectation. I hate both clubs, with a passion, but one of them will need to win......so I guess I hate the Bruins more, not by much though.

Interesting take on the two minors, hadn't considered that. The major was definitely bunk in my view. It looked like a high stick to me as well, but I can only assume there was some better angle available to Toronto. Regardless, kudos to the fish for taking advantage. Hope Pavs is ok. |
