Looks like they’ll be having practices with the Saints again. After visiting New Orleans in August about 45 years ago, I don’t blame the Saints for once again escaping to OC for about five days. Talk about a steamy version of hell that time of the year!!

Talk about a steamy version of hell that time of the year!! I took Army Basic at Ft Polk, LA @ 50+ years ago in Aug-Sep. Condensate was dripping off the barracks before dawn. When the sun came up, it was a steambath.

Why does everyone keep saying "again" ? The team's don't want to have to travel far in pre-season so the league schedules regional games. I'm surprised New Orleans is flying out.

It makes perfect sense for the Chargers to play the 49ers, Seahawks and Cardinals in the preseason, especially during the 3 seasons where they don't match up with the NFC West during the regular season. As for New Orleans: Flying out to OC for 5-6 days is a welcome relief from the hell that is Louisiana in August. Plus, it allows the Saints to hold joint practices with a non-rival team where both coaching staffs (and players with Brees & PR being team leaders) are on good terms with each other. It's a win-win for the Saints organization as they prepare for the season. Having said that, the Saints playing the Jets in NJ the following week is a bit of a head scratcher.

That is wild. I guess our NO game is nationally televised. Very cool !!
