What's everyone's thoughts on Grady Jarett?
Right now it looks like the Falcons are trying hard to re-sign him; might even go so far as to franchise tag him if they can't work out a deal.
Which tells me that he might be too expensive for Teleco to consider.

You guys are going by numbers. Put away the calculator. Watch tape. Listen to pro scouts. I was diligent years ago on Joyner. He's a baller, who just had an off year...Single High capable and versatile. According to PFF, Joyner is a solid tackler, but was 25th in the league vs the pass: Joyner bet on himself with the franchise tag this season, only to have his grade drop just over 16 points, and the biggest reason for that was his coverage grade dropping over 20 points itself (91.3 in 2017 to 71.2 in 2018). His playmaker index went from among the best in the league last season at 38.5% to a mere 11.1% this year. The former slot cornerback turned safety allowed a passer rating of 73.1 (25th) in 2018 after allowing just 27.4 (5th) in 2017. However, Joyner did continue to show off his sure-tackling, especially in the passing game with only one missed tackle over the last two seasons (73 tackle attempts). It’ll be interesting to see if a team pays for 2017 Joyner or this past season’s Joyner. www.bigblueview.com/2019/1/30/18198514/nfl-free-agency-2019-could-lamarcus-joyner-help-ny-giants-rams

Also that one missed tackle alone is a huge over mr whiffs in Addae.

Also that one missed tackle alone is a huge over mr whiffs in Addae. Addae ranked 60.1 in coverage, so yes, worse than Joyner's 73.1 even in an off year for Joyner. And then, there IS Addae's awful tackling, or launching and whiffing...okay, looks like Joyner had a bit of an off year last year, and/or maybe QB's didn't target him as much...all right, if the money is doable, I'm okay with maybe a 2-3 year deal for him. Just don't want to get locked into a 4-year megadeal, then Joyner starts slacking like Franklin...

So I’ll take Joyner over Addae if that’s the case again. Also i know it’s probably more unlikely than Joyner (who i think is a long shot) but I’d like Boston back. Yeah, his tackling wasn’t the greatest, but it was better than Addae’s whiffing. At least he slowed guys down and didn’t just straight up take poor angles and let people run for stupid easy TDs/big gains.

Looks like the Rams are letting, or seeing, some of their big names hit free agency. No tags getting used. Wonder which will bolt for the money ? Most, if not all, will bolt for the money. They were all rentals as the Rams enjoyed the fruits of having a "franchise QB" playing on a rookie contract salary (albeit the #1 pick in the 2016 draft). Unless there is some doubt about Goff being "the guy" for the franchise, they will be forced to spend roughly 10% minimum of their 2019 cap on their QB after getting by on the cheap while they rented Suh and others for a season. Credit to the Rams that they took a one year roll of the dice at a ring when they embarked on a bunch of one-year rentals, but they came up one game short.

First time in years we have some real cap flexibility do this smart TT. Currently, between 23 and 25 million. Is that what you are seeing ?

That’s easy enough. Addae is more likely to injure his own teammates than defense a pass.

That’s with his poor tackling included.
