Where has the goalie been? A very busy playoff run, and then draft (which had an issue) and then FA's.......then a vacation. Popped on here tonight for the first time in a very long time.

Did the OL get any better? What is the belief these days? Chargers (sorry, just cannot call them the 'Bolts" anymore) winning a SB this season?

Did the OL get any better? What is the belief these days? Chargers (sorry, just cannot call them the 'Bolts" anymore) winning a SB this season? Other than Slater, we aren't going to see much of the first team oline in the preseason, but he looks like a gift from heaven for long-suffering Chargers fans. I'll get a good look at the starting oline at the joint practices with the 49ers on Thursday and Friday this week. That's going to be the vets game-prep work for the offseason. Slayer, Bosa and Herbert all raved about the oline earlier this week in interviews with LT and Matt "Money" Smith on NFL Network, so it sounds promising.

Slater looks good so far......no huge mistakes that I see. The first play after Slater leaves the game, almost a disaster from left tackle. Get Slater to the regular season healthy!

Slater keeps himself fit and works his ass off, and as Chargers fans we are owed some good fortune on that front!

Call it a hunch but I’m almost certain the chargers will make a move for an offensive tackle before the season starts. And I’m not talking about some big trade, I mean claiming someone from waivers to improve the quality of depth at OT. If I’m the chargers I got my pro scouts scouring every potential roster cut on teams with good offensive lines and I go looking for someone to replace pipkins or norton as an upgrade to those guys.
A guy that stood out to me is a 3rd string RT on the rams named tremayne anchrum, he’s gotta be on our radar after the way he played against nwosu, he nuetralized nwosu on saturday, a third stringer!!! He’s going to get cut because the rams have too many people at the position

I think there are two main reasons. Our current one knows our system. and we know him. You don't know the character of the new guy, and we are a character driven organization. No doubt.

I don’t think you read the second paragraph. The rams drafted Anchrum in 2020 when our coach was in the Ram’s draft room, Staley got to know Anchrum thru the scouting process and then later in the lead up to the season a year ago. It’s a unique situation with anchrum for sure but I gotta imagine our coaches couldn’t help but be impressed with his play, then take into account he can play both RT and RG and that alone would save us a spot on the roster! Then you only need to keep quessenberry, jaimes, anchrum, and then just keep one of your pick of pipkins or norton to backup slater. It’s just a hunch but I won’t be surprised if there might be one or two ram’s players on staley’s radar from coaching there last year.

That's what the big cut week is all about. SO many guys get cut. There has to be a few that can help.
