Interesting. Durant, KD and Deandre to the Nets. Horford to the Sixers. Chopper’s favorite Brogdan to the Pacers. Knicks get Randle. Kawhi? Bueller? Bueller? I think it’s great that Brogdan is no longer on the Bucks. That’ll hurt them more than they know (actually, I’m sure they know exactly how much it will). I read that Kawhi isn’t even going to meet with anyone until July 2nd. But then again, I read some pretty crazy rumors about him these past few days, so who knows if anything at all is to be believed. I could definitely see him waiting a few days though, that seems like something that fits his enigmatic personality. The way I see it, the longer he drags it out, the more likely it is he stays with the Raptors, so I’m happy with the delay.

Also, Jimmy Butler is headed to Miami. Butler wanting to go to Miami is a head scratcher, at least from a basketball standpoint. He leaves a team that was & will continue to be a championship contender, for a team that will be lucky to get past the 1st round of the playoffs during his tenure. For a guy that has no rings, and is already 30 years old, that is a pretty weird move to force. I wasnt aware Brogdan wanted out of Milwaukee, but that’s a pretty dumb thing for him to have wanted. His situation has certainly not improved, and we don’t even know how he will perform in another system, what what he had definitely worked.

Dangelo to GSW. Iguadala trades to Grizz Redick to NO Bucks must not have watched series against Toronto and resigned Middleton to a big deal Middleton’s resigning was expected, by anyone who isn’t an NBA rookie like yourself. The others you mentioned above were all big surprises. Redick who is towards the end of his career, leaves a championship contender and signs a 2 year deal with a rebuilding team. Iggy must be thrilled to be heading to the Grizzlies, maybe retirement would suit him better. Deangelo to GSW came out of nowhere, and makes little sense. I have a feeling he’ll be on the trading block soon.

He would be the 3rd wheel there BUT they would be the new favorites in the league.
Would Leonard accept that trade off ?

Leonard will either be in LA or Toronto. I didn’t think the Lakers were in it but they appear to be. Lebron is slowing down. It would be Kawhi and AD for the future.

The numbers these FA’s are getting are mind boggling. Tobias Harris gets $180m over 5 years? Middleton $178m for disappearing in the conference finals. Butler $142m over 4 years? Barnes and Brogdan get $85m over 4??

Nice, wavy, and now for my question.......................... I explained why he would take it. Leonard’s no dummy. He knows Toronto wouldn’t have won without GSW injuries. He knows he needs to be on a team with a superstar or two. He sees what Brooklyn did.

If Kawhi goes to the Lakers, I would not only be completely shocked, but also extremely disappointed. I would actually want to see him fail in that case. But, I don’t think it’s happening.
If he goes to the Clippers, I wouldn’t like it, but would at least respect the decision.
I don’t think Kawhi going to the Lakers would necessarily equal a championship either, aside from the big 3 and Kuzma, the rest of the roster would have to filled up with league minimum salary guys. You can throw a load management program out the window too, which is critical if you want “playoff Kawhi”. No depth is bad enough, throw in an injury to one of the big 3, and it would be catastrophic to the season.
The Lakers best bet would be to use their cap space on a number of players to fill the roster around AD & LeBron, but I don’t think their Front Office is smart enough to do something like that

Lebron, AD, Kuzma and a guy I've never ever heard of. 4 players.

Once they hit the salary cap threshold, by CBA rules they can only make any additional free agent signings at League Minimum salary, to fill up the rest of the roster. So if they were to use all of their remaining cap space on Kawhi (which btw, would be the lowest salary offered from the 3 teams in the game for him), you would have a lot more than just one guy on the team that you’ve never heard of, and one of them would even be in the starting lineup...

Pffffttttttt. Stashed suitcases in the dumpster behind Staples Center should fix that little problem.

One player with whom the Lakers have communicated is Danny Green, according to a person familiar with their communications. Green, who was traded with Leonard from San Antonio to Toronto last summer, is waiting on Leonard's decision before deciding whether to return to Toronto, according to The New York Times.
Danny Green’s associate says Lakers called Danny Green. He says it was one of the longer calls and a good one.
