3 down, 1 to go with up to 3 tries (and 2 at home).
Warriors have no excuses tonight. Klay & Looney both played, and were both as effective as what could be expected.
The Raptors simply outplayed them.

From Bill Simmons: 1. Toronto played its worst half in 3 weeks and they’re down 4 at halftime. 2. Curry seems dead from a superhuman workload 2 nights ago. 3. 2nd half: Less Lowry, more Kawhi. 4. Mark Jackson’s pep talk for Mark Stevens was the funniest moment of the playoffs. The idea of Mark Jackson giving anyone a pep talk is funny. The dude sounds half asleep when he talks. It also doesn’t surprise me at that if anyone came to that guys defense that it was Jackson. I had a feeling Curry would be a bit gassed tonight, after the minutes he played and energy he put out the other night. He did have a pretty typical game for him though, 40% shooting and 27 points. Loved the Simmons quote because it did feel like the Warriors should have had a big half time lead and the fact that they couldn’t pull away did not bode well for them. You’re right, Curry looked gassed. And Klay wasn’t great either. The warriors need those 2 to play great without Durant on the court. I tell you who didn’t look gassed and actually looks stronger. Kawhi Leonard. Superstar, superhuman.

Kawhi Leonard. Superstar, superhuman. There’s certainly no arguing that the Warriors should have had a much bigger halftime lead than they did. The Raptors shooting % was horrendous in the first half, but it was them who dominated in the 3rd, instead of the Warriors. Whether you wanna call it good, very good or great Klay has his best game of the series last night. He shot over 60%, and lead the team in points. The Splash Brothers combined for 55 points, which is right around what they’ve averaged per game since Durant went down. That’s good enough to sweep the Blazers, but not enough to beat the Raptors on most nights. Yep, the bad news for the Warriors was that Kawhi also had his best game of the series. I also have to give a shout out to Ibaka (or maybe I should say Iblocka) who has been great the past two games as well.

The East has home court advantage this year. Home court, home court, home court.....Oh, they lost at HOME ? Home court doesn't matter anymore.
I laugh. Oh how I laugh.
Assassins Creed. Didn't see Drake poppin' off this game. He knows what's best. I gotta hand it to you Freak, for once you were right....home court doesn’t seem to matter all that much. I hope you are laughing your bag off, it’s well deserved !

GSW with 3 more to go. All at home. 4-1 on the way 4-1 could very well be on the way....good call ! GSW with 3 more needed is still accurate too

From Bill Simmons: 2004 Game 5, Detroit: Pistons up 3-1 and coming off 2 convincing wins... favored by 2
2019 Game 5, Toronto: Raptors up 3-1 and coming off 2 convincing wins... favored by 1.5
Simmons has been drawing parallels between the 2005 Pistons who ended the Lakers 3 straight championships and dynasty and the Raptors who are on the verge of ending the GSW run.

I think there is definitely a similarity between the 2 series, in that very few people saw the Raptors/Pistons as having a chance, and that Game 2 was the only game won by the Lakers (and is hopefully going to be the only game won by the Warriors). But one thing that is definitely not similar is the lineups for the teams. Kawhi is obviously one of the best players in the league (possibly THE best) while the Pistons were more of a group of very solid role players without a true star. What the Pistons did have was amazing chemistry. BTW, I was one of the few that predicted the Pistons winning that ‘04 series in a convincing fashion. The way they handled the Pacers in the Confeernce Finals, I thought they were a lock to win it all.

I have taken up residence in your head. Or the relatively safe space in your head. Not the part that spends too much time in the basement painting g helmets

Pages ago, you asked me of any great Championship teams without a legit 2nd star. I told you that the 2004 Pistons didn’t even have a legit #1 Star.

By the way, you told me after I already thought of it., i.e., i am in your head.
And where did you rank Kawhi? 8th or 9th?

Understood....you planted the idea in my head, via BHC mind control tricks. Makes sense now. Before these playoffs started and Kawhi played the best ball of his career, I was undecided if I had him at 8 or 9. That of course was when I was unfairly comparing players of all positions against each other, so the ranking concept altogether was pretty silly.

Tell the same to the voters who had him on the All-NBA 2nd team
