Right now? I would take Brady. He's not the same QB, but he will put butts in seats and help revitalize a floundering franchise. Who knows? Maybe the guy with the right team around him could make a run? Manning did it. Manning did it with a brutal defense.Thats not what the Bolts are about lol.Brady would be runnin for his life here just like Rivers(not that PR really runs)I think trynna bring Brady over here would probably make things even worse as we would look like an even bigger circus sideshow when we miss the playoffs again.Resign Philip, build the o line with early draft capitol and some free agents, draft a mid round RB and WR plus grab a couple in free agency and if our pockets arent empty we need a F.A. DT to FINALLY free up Bosa to do work.If we still fail to make the playoffs next season Complete Rebuild Mode from front office on down to the waterboy! Don't buy it. You make the assumption that the OL stays the same. Brady on the Bolts would have a whole lota weapons he hasn't had in NE for a while. He got it done. personally, PR or Brady as 1-2 year rentals is fine either way. But brady has the upper hand all things considered. Technically, PR has only been an LA Charger for 2-3 years. So really, there is no reason for loyalty really.

I'-m guessing PR would sign for quite a bit less than Brady. It makes sense to me that both of them will stay put. We'll find out when the FA period starts.

While I am focused on QB's and Georgia Tackle Andrew Thomas right now...............if you are eyeballing WR's, Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy is hotter than a tea kettle. Whew Boy, he's gonna be a goodie. He makes it tough to pick around him if he is sitting there at #6.

Not that Rivers doesn't get respect, but Brady isa proven winner. The Patriots insert anyone and for 20 years have ruled the AFC. Let's face it, give Tom a couple good receivers and he beats the Titans, no matter how many yards are run on that defense. The Chargers have players, they should be better than what they are. Same as Dallas.

For me though WR is lower in priority for even the 3rd if we have not addressed OL/DL in FA (2) and rounds 1-2.

You can get Dylan Cantrell in the 3rd, or Julio Jones in the first.
The choice is yours.

The 2011 Atlanta Falcons is exactly the team I was thinking about before reading your latest post. Julio Jones (who they moved up to grab) transformed that offense. Julio, Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez and Michael "Burner" Turner, pick your poison. As much as I would prefer we take OL or DL early, it's never a bad thing taking the "BEST PLAYER ON THE BOARD" at number 6. If that's Jerry Jeudy, so be it. Way too early to "Bang the Table" for a player, but something to consider. Every year and I mean EVERY YEAR, one (or more) of our best players goes down for a big chunk of the season and there seems to be no replacement answer on the roster. Management is always reactive versus proactive in getting ahead of this issue. At receiver we are clearly thin. Mike Williams rookie contract is ending soon and Keenan is only a Charger through 2020. Better come up with a replacement plan now. Oh, and Freak. To your earlier question. Brady or Rivers. I'm keeping Rivers. Chemistry.

Important. (just razzing you)
Is there chemistry on a 5-11 team ? Is chemistry important anymore/on a 5-11 team ? hmmmmmmmm...........

Freak you are too funny for your own good (just razzing you). Yes, Chemistry is important on a 5-11 soon to be 11-5 team next season. Yes, there is Chemistry on this team, IF and I say IF they bring Rivers back. No, I am not saying that Brady couldn't create Chemistry after a few games, but Rivers already has it. Bolts just need TT to please help protect it. Yes, Rivers moved the ball up and down the field often at will against really good teams. That my friend was Chemistry with his receivers and backs. Knowing where they would be before they took their breaks on a route. Say it with me, Chemistry. Yes, the Curse and TURNOVERS killed the Bolts. Some on Rivers, some on others, some on the other team just made a good play. Keep Chemistry Alive 2020.

We have work to do.
9 losses by one score. At least we are close.
Did I see we set a franchise record for getting the least amount of turnovers ? that has to change.

If this team takes a WR in the 1st round the forum will explode. The last thing we need to spend our #6 on is a WR.

This is an important fact that should not be overlooked. Win half of those games and we are being talked about as one the teams no one wants to face in the playoffs. Our D is already very good. Kept us in just about every game. Keep Gus or grab Wade before he's snatched up. Rivers is still good and whether folks want to admit it or not, he will be better than any rookie we draft at least for the next season or two. I agree Freak, we are close to being a very good football team. 1. Resign Rivers, then lock up Bosa and avoid holdout drama. 2. Offer competitive contracts to Hunter Henry and yes, Gordon. 3. Be aggressive in FA, specifically with the trenches. 4. Draft "BEST PLAYER" on the Board at #6. Address need with #38 or perhaps trade back into the end of the 1st round if TUA falls. 5. STOP TURNING THE BALL OVER.
